Sporting shoots. Where - and how did it go?

This poor sod had to hammer his choke out with a screwdriver. Made my bum twitch, so I kept tightening my chokes and looking down the barrels for the rest of the day. sent from ma fone wiv ma fingaz

Sporting shoots. Where - and how did it go?

Had a wobbly day at Horne, decided to do more registered shoots after doing very little shooting over the last year or two. Straight one stand then cock up the next two then straight again then more waving the barrels around fruitlessly, then some poor chap got a wad jammed up against a loose...

The Fabarm is a brilliantly well made gun. Its fairly heavy for a semi and the rib takes getting used to, i would definitely try before you by. I had one for a while but couldn't get on with it and sold it part ex for another gun without loosing too much money.

    whats wrong with me

Your spot on ips i didn't have much fun in the wind and rain today, although i had a bacon buttie and enjoyed the piss taking with friends. As they say a bad day shooting beats dinner with the mother inlaw.

    whats wrong with me

Decided to shoot 100 DTL instead of 100 ESP today, i really must give myself a bloody good talking to.

    ips tries to shoot esp

It's easy to push a target out and make it a pot luck stand. The best grounds and course setters fool you with angle and good use of terrain. If i approach a stand and think thats a gimmee and proceed to chip and ding my way through it, i know i have been beaten by a good course designer.

    ips tries to shoot esp

I have really enjoyed reading this. It has reminded me of the "f**k me what county is that minuscule speck of dirt flying over" feeling i had, followed by "what clever tosser decided to make a clay go all loopy like" and "rabbit clays, more like rockets fired from a fallen over milk bottle"...

    Transformation

Bought a spare fore end and had the whole thing hydro dipped in a light burl walnut, hopefully it wont look like I'm shooting with a prosthetic leg wedged against my face anymore.

    Site Content

I haven't checked in for a while and i hardly recognise the place, the new site is a pain to use as i view it on my mobile. When you could view content using tapatalk it made using a mobile a lot easier. I miss some of the ill tempered discussions they added a bit of spice. Some people are...

    Caesar Guerini vs Beretta

I have been shooting a CG summit ascent for about a year now after 15+ years with Berettas, there have been no issues with the gun at all and i was shooting my average scores after a couple of rounds with it. The action is more workman like than a Beretta, but its seems solidly made and you get...

    Gunfit and conflicting advice

They are probably a common site in the US not so much in Blighty. The biggest problem i have had with mine is the funny looks and piss taking, I've lost count of the times someone has asked me if i have stolen a prosthetic leg and where i keep my disabled badge. Make sure everything is torqued...

    Laminate stock

I can vouch for the quality of his workmanship. ken is the guy who does the air brushing and they look a lot better than the site portrays. I think Some of his artwork is being displayed in Bromley town hall to commemorate the battle of Britain.

    682 Gold E trigger movement

To remove the safety catch there is a small roll pin that needs pushing out and the catch then lifts out, its a bit fiddly to reassemble. :umnik:

    682 Gold E trigger movement

my 682 gold e triggers had slight play in them, i think it's  part of the design. Is it just the trigger movement or is it the whole bottom trigger plate moving. If so there is a screw under the safety catch which bolts the top tang and the trigger plate together.

    A Lesson with Ed.

Only had 1 lesson with Ed a four hour session at Sporting Targets about 18 months ago. I'm still using his good advice today and things now seem a lot clearer, reading targets and sussing out the hold points. Apparently he's won a few things since then  . Must book another session.

    The future of ABT
