Should we turn the clock back to get more people shooting?

Should we turn the clock back to get more people shooting?

All steel shot originates from China so haulage is far more expensive than lead from within the EU.  Then a total ban on lead for the U.K. and EU would most likely mean insufficient steel shot to meet demand and as is happing now as a result of the Ukraine war the price due to supply and demand...

Should we turn the clock back to get more people shooting?

Certainly going to be a challenging situation for the sport, then will the next challenge on the horizon be steel shot with biodegradable wads if they ban lead, potentially further increasing the cost of cartridges.

From that price list I would buy the FIC19 as they are £674.00 per 1000 from justcartridges so a bargain at £188.28. think you can conclude from that the price list is well out of date. FIC19 FIOCCHI SEMI MAGNUM Plastic 12g 42grm BB shot £4.71 per 25 £47.07 per 250 £188.28  Per 1000

How much is too much ?

hopefully the club i am secretary for is better than a straw baler, however I agree with your comments re testing targets, as a club we have young and old shooting, novices and experienced so to keep the members and visitors returning targets have to be set such that all enjoy the shoot, hit...

    BIOR or Fibre?

I would suggest using a pattern plate to test how the different cartridges pattern through your gun and chokes, just because a cartridges is “cheap” does not guarantee it will pattern any worst than an expensive cartridge.

BioAmmo Rex - bio-compostable cartridge case and wad.

Its in one of the borders in the garden to see how the compost process works now. please report back on how long it takes to decompose, the expectation is if just lying on the surface it could take a year plus, as plastics described as decomposing due to composting are aimed at landfill rubbish...

    Paid and no service

very unlikely as it looks like the FEOs were working from home. Far more risk of the police force being laid low by the officers being out in the community policing those ignoring the lockdown or not social distancing, of which that’s has been plenty of examples hence the number of fines issued...

    Paid and no service

Of course you would because it would not impact on you, but possibly those that only own only s1 firearms would happily accept greater control over S2 firearms and their use. Be careful what you wish for. United we should be regardless of the discipline we actually shoot, as the history of...
