Hull Sporting 100, 7.5 Fibres - Confetti Throwers

Spare a thought for the situation the cartridge manufactures are in. They are struggling to get enough components and continuity of supply to meet demand so are using what they can get, especially powder which is in very short supply. I stock Fiocchi and they are working hard between the U.K...

    Gloucestershire suspend all certificate applications

NABIS are not happy about removing mods from FAC https://www.npcc.police.uk/SysSiteAssets/media/downloads/publications/disclosure-logs/national-crime-coordination-committee/2024/166-2024-sound-moderators---nabis-response-march-2024-002.pdf

    Gloucestershire suspend all certificate applications

indeed we do not just want to reward poor performance and get no benefit from paying a lot more. Then if it is very expensive to enter the sport what would that do for the future of the sport. Kent look to be performing very well, I recently applied for my renewal that runs out in January and...

    Understanding shotkam video

yep I concur you missed the bits were wadding at a guess fibre wads, have you patterned the gun/cartridge combination at about the distance to that clay. Looks difficult to lean much from that shot, video.

Is shooting good for mental health?

I know I will never be a world champion, the social side of going to the local clay club and enjoying good company in the countryside is a win in itself.

    Rifled Chokes

Think they are for use with shogun slug ammunition to improve the accuracy but slug ammo is section 1 and as has been said the choke may need an FAC to own one.

    Shotgun grant interview

Cartridges are heavy in slabs of 250, the bottom of the wardrobe or anywhere in the house will do, just keep them away from damp and very cold conditions. Consider that you will likely be buying a 1000 at a time to get the best price. Look forward to the certificate arriving and buying your gun.

    Shotgun grant interview

just be your self, remember for a shotgun certificate it is your legal right to have one without justification (unlike an FAC) so answer any questions honestly and all will be good.

How much difference do Cartridges make?

Could discuss the content of the video for hours, cartridge manufacture generally do not buy primers they buy primed cases and primers are again generally sealed to the environment, ask any home reloader who will buy just the primers to reuse the fired case. The industry is huge, many millions...

    Cheddite primer Issue

Just the difference in language, calling them hull or cases. The last few years has seen availability of components become difficult wherever you live and prices sky rocket. Like you I have reloaded for a similar length of time but in todays world it is becoming very much less advantageous to do so.

    Cheddite primer Issue

Are you in the USA? hence using Winchester cases with EU primers? Observation that the Americans like to reload the same case many times until they fall apart, we in the U.K. just reload EU cases once given any clay ground gives them away for free. Unless 20ga, 28ga or ,410 then we may try and...

How much difference do Cartridges make?

However there are very few lead shot manufactures and the manufacturing process is such that all shot is made either by tower dropping or the Bliemeister short drop method. Both process remove irregular shaped shot not to sell on to the cartridge manufacture but to be melted again, put back into...

    Dirty Barrels

looks a nice club, now see why you use steel as the shot is falling on the foreshore, not into deep water. http://hdcpc.co.uk/l we have similar in Kent. https://kingsferrygunclub.com/

    Dirty Barrels

😊 just imagine how much lead must be at the bottom of the sea from lost fishing weights and sunken ship ballast. 😂 which club shoots over the sea.

so virtually a 0.002” two thousands of an inch tolerance 0.05mm as you say not an issue.

    Cheddite primer Issue

The ones I have measure .243 using a mitutoyo micrometer. However unless the micrometer is calibrated to a known standard regularly no guarantee of the accuracy, we all just trust the measurement to be correct. Primer shape can also be different some have a slight taper. Not easy to measure the...

    Cheddite primer Issue

got some so will check the size and let you know ASAP but why would a manufacture spend a lot of money on tooling just to go from ,244” to .242” that’s two thousands of an inch probably within tolerance of the making of the tooling and wear before they renew the tooling. We sell fiocchi 616 and...

    Who Doesn't like A Semi....?

Seen miss fires with the bottom barrel on o/u yet never had a miss fire with my benelli and take no notice of the action of the bolt. Never fails to cycle a cartridge, Like the gun so much when i spotted another one for sale in good condition at a very good price I brought it as a spare, but...

    Who Doesn't like A Semi....?

benelli work on inertia, recoil, no gas port to clean, simple bore snake through the barrel, job done. like all guns do remove and clean the chokes frequently or they may become a permanent addition to the gun.
