Drunk garage boss shot three people at clay pigeon shoot with faulty pump action shotgun

No idea what make / model. The pic is just a library pic. Not of the gun itself.  Plus - that story's from November 2012!

EJ Churchill ESP reg 7th May 2015

Not looking too bad. Might need a brolly though! http://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/HP14_3NS How long does it take to go round? / How quick could it be? I want to get over one day but work and school run are the limiting factor.

A satisfying 2. I'm pretty pleased that I didn't know most of those. What rubbish questions this time around!

    FEO Visit

I think that's wise. Probably not worth calling him about it though... just fit it and then make sure whoever shows him the installation knows to say that don't know where the keys are (if asked)!

    FEO Visit

I'm intrigued by this as, in theory, your brother in law or mum could get copies of the keys cut in your absence and then be able to access your guns in future... When my local FEO came to inspect the fitted safe he was very clear that I must leave it empty and open and not leave the keys...

    Ejectors on Browning 525 Light

Apologies for the simple question but... have you cleaned the ejectors / run some oil behind them?

Browning Maxus - breaking in period?

Thank you very much! Normally shoot 28g so based on your post, I'm thinking it should cycle ok.  What do you reckon if I'm buying one second hand that maybe hasn't had some heavier loads through it? Presumably it won't matter?!?! I would have thought that if I run some heavy loads through it...

    Clay ground hire gun cost?

I can see why you might expect a bit of leeway. Worth a quiet word with the owner/manager next time you're there? Is it possible that if you had been there then they wouldn't have been charged?

    Ok. Thanks for the reply.

    Clay ground hire gun cost?

My mate didn't get charged when I took him to the ground I'm a member at a couple of weeks ago. I can see both sides of the argument. Good to have free guns for newbies to encourage them into the sport but open to abuse.

Browning Maxus - breaking in period?

Hi all, I'm looking at getting a Browning Maxus and have read that some semi autos need to be 'broken in'. Is this true? Is it true of the Maxus? If I buy a nearly new, lightly used one that hasn't been broken in is that a problem? Or could I run some heavy loads through it when I first get...

Ditto. Got a load of kit I need to sell on the 'other' forum at some point!

    Which choke grease ?

Haha! I'll have to find my old tool kit and see whether i've got any left.

    Budget Cartridges

It's a very minor point but, why do companies making budget cartidges print their name / logo on them? Surely it would only save peanuts not to but every little helps. Do they have to be printed by law to identify them? You only really see the logo 3 times - box to pocket, pocket to gun, gun to...
