    Tittershall Lodge, Aylesbury

Located off the A41 between Aylesbury and Bicester. Fantastic setting, free tea and coffee, proper toilets, hard standing car park and good paths, targets were mixed with some very challenging ones. Good crowd, £30 for 100 birds and a bar for a drink once you have finished your round. Recommended.

Cartridge price increases now getting silly

I’d never heard of Gallyon guns before this post. The new Purdey over and under looks lovely, wonder how much it is?

    24g v 28g prices

If you don’t like the prices your cartridge supplier gives you then vote with your feet and go elsewhere. Clark’s of `Walsham and Oxford Gun Co both have excellent cartridge pricing at present.  Glad I bought mine 4 months ago😀

    Lane End shoot, Buckinghamshire

Went to this 50 bird shoot for the first time today, only found out about it recently although it has been going for years. £17 for 50 birds, set on a farm with large campsite next door. Toilets, free coffee (self serve). Very good bunch of shooters as I turned up on my own and the team...

    Falling numbers of shooters.

Owls is 65 miles from EJ Churchill! I’d love to know how Coleys will handle 400 shooters at once, going to need a lot of staff and a lot of stands and traps (I have never been to that ground although I’ve driven past it many times).    Churchill’s seem to rely on corporate work and comps. At...

    Falling numbers of shooters.

I shot at Churchill’s High Wycombe at 6pm on Thursday night, only 6 shooters out on the course for the whole evening inc me and my friend. But at 35p a clay was well worth it, great shooting ground.

    Falling numbers of shooters.

I had my gun fitted at E J Churchill during my lunch hour (I work 1 mile from the ground) by Ben Hustwaite about a month ago. It was a Tuesday and the place was deserted.    but I honest.y don’t think the price increases have hit home yet, give it another month and it may be a different story...

    Greenfield Entertainments, Boarstall, Oxford

Second time shooting at this ground today. Options for 50, 70 or 100 birds. Variety of targets, right alongside the M40 motorway but shooting away from it. Refreshments available, car park and well trodden path around the site but an uphill walk to get back to the clubhouse. No wheelchair access...
