Hi, when renewing a shotgun certificate how many passport size photos do you need to supply & do any of them need to be signed etc ? I have tried emailing/phoning my firearms department but it is easier to contact god 🙄

Shooting is dying now in the UK with the cost of cartridges going up month after month, If the price of a certificate goes up to £500 that will be the end of shooting simple.

For me to Shoot a pair with Fiocchi officials at my local ground which charge 42p a bird would set me back £1.48 CRAZY MONEY 😳   A 100 bird round would workout at £78 😩

Don’t ask me why but I tried a demo XS Pro 30” & I could not hit a barn door with it & that was after the coach at the ground set up the gun to fit me, I then changed back to my Beretta 28” auto to hit most birds. My advice would be don’t just handle one in the shop DEFINITELY shoot one...

You must be very unlucky as Beretta autos normally cycle perfectly, I have owned several & have never had a single problem, don’t give up I am sure GMK will sort it ASAP.

If it’s a new gun take it back it’s the seller responsibility to put it right or exchange it for another new gun it’s very strange to hear a Beretta auto refusing to cycle.

Just checking back on my credit card statement, December 2021 I was paying £192.80 for a 1000 now 7 months later they are £242 for a 1000 for the same cartridge that’s an increase of £50.20 in 7months. You are correct my local ground is not the cheapest he was 36p a bird before the pandemic now...

Sorry I should have broken it down clearly  cartridges £242 x 1000 = 24p each clays at my local club 42p a bird  To shoot a pair = cartridges 48p +  clays 84p =  it costs me £1.32 to shoot a pair 

I normally buy Eley select 28g & now they have gone up to £242 x 1000, with paying for a round of 100 it costs me £1.32 to shoot a pair I have now decided once the cartridges I have left are finished clay shooting will have to be put on hold as it is now to expensive.
