Shotgun certificate renewal ( photos )

I was talking to my daughter who is a pratice manager at another doctors surgery about what they look for and she suggested filling in a form to get a full copy of my medical history so I can pay attention to what I have had over the years and perhaps seek advice on an odd...

How things have changed on here.

A really nice chap is Ian and his adsence was noted when I came back which in part was the reason for this thread.  Please pass on my regards. Phil

Whats going on with the adverts....

I don't know if it is just my pc but I am getting adverts over the top of the index to the page, it does go by hitting the refresh key but not sure if there is a problem elsewhere. Phil

Shotgun certificate renewal ( photos )

I agree totally, I had thought of putting a clear sticky sheet on the front of my tickets to stop transfer but what the hell, the police know most people keep their tickets in a double wallet so why use toner that comes off.

Shotgun certificate renewal ( photos )

Well that's good as in my region, the firearms dept send the renewal forms out here at least 12 weeks before the due date which would allow for Medicert to return the completed statement.  I must say that as we are now online only from the last qtr of 2022 so no clue how notice will be served...

Shotgun certificate renewal ( photos )

As a matter of interest, how long did you have to wait from Medicert as their website says up to 2 months.

Shotgun certificate renewal ( photos )

It should say on your renewal how many photos are required but online they would only need one when you think about it. I have another 2 years before I need to renew my SGC and FAC so both the doctors report will be a new aspect and online for the first time which I am not looking forward to...

    Stock Pitch

I think it is fair to say the feel and handling of a Browning / Miroku compared to a Beretta / Perazzi / CG is quite different, to me at any rate to the point that I just do not get on that well with the first group. I have owned a number of Miroku and Brownings but always revert back to the...

    New stock

That looks stunning, I would love one like that for my Sako rifle. Phil

    Hmmmmmm

Not sure what to say really...................... BASC has lodged an official complaint with the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) following comments made by Merseyside Police around legally-held firearms. A newspaper carried quotes that the force had: “work ongoing to remove and...

    Guidance please

I think this is where the Italian guns tend to come into there own as most are slightly stock heavy or at least have a weight adding capability. I must admit I prefer the Beretta / CG / Perazzi feel where the 32'' doesn't seem too heavy and I just don't get that same feeling with the Browning /...

    How much !

The thought of £500 per ticket is a stumbling block for many grass route shooters and pensioners like me and my wife, a grand for our tickets is a tall order but perhaps that is the reason, we give up shooting !!!!! Phil

Northern Shooting Show, 6th & 7th of May.

No I am not shooting either, never really liked either walking round with my gun for whole show or leaving it in the car. I do like this show for other shooting formats that I enjoy in air rifle and rimfire kit of which I use a great deal for my vermin shooting.  I have a feeling it is going to...

    Guidance please

Not in the same boat as you regarding a new gun as I had to replace my car a few weeks ago but my choice would also have been the MX8 as well. Had I gone that route, It was my thought to visit The Gunroom in Holme on Spalding Moor and Malton to borrow a perazzi and take it to East Yorks SG which...

    Spur of the moment.

My buddy used it yesterday for a very short session on pigeon n crows and now loves it. I got two imp cyl chokes and a half but ideally would love to get a 3/4 but doubt very much I can get one, not sure who the importer is/was for these, time for a bit of research. I know she is a few years...

    Spur of the moment.

I went over to my quarry perm yesterday just to put a few shots through the gun to see how it felt, loaded with a pair of Eley Pigeon Select 30gr, I walked up the tree lined edging to the little quarry, out came a pair of woodies only about 25mt in front of me, down they went so what a start...
