I saw a Floyd Patterson youtube 'Gun Shorts' the other day and he was saying that the Zoli 'Z' guns are big sellers in the USA as he got a number of messages from American viewers that these guns are very well respected over the pond unlike the UK where second hand prices are very low, just do...

    Been away..................................quite a while.

Looking at the various youtube vids, there is no mention of the forend issues in fact there is supposed to be a new system for keeping the whole thing tight.

    Been away..................................quite a while.

Thanks for the responses, very informative. I may well sell my 30''CG and go for 2 x 694, trap and sporting as I would like to do some OT and a dedicated trap gun would be better although I have used my old DT10 32'' and my current 30'' CG. The jury is out on this at present but there is no...

    Been away..................................quite a while.

Hello guys, it has been some time since I was on here not because I fell out with the forum but simply because I have been far more involved in vermin shooting with shotgun and rifles, however it came to me the other day that whilst chatting with an old clay shooting friend that on reflection I...

    New Year =New Gun

I have a 32" DT10 sporting which I love but I would like a DT11 with the Beretta/TSK adjustable stock to have as a dedicated trap gun............................................well that is not likely to happen unless either I sell my body parts or wait for that elusive lotto win but I will have...

Is clay shooting a declining sport?

I confess that at 68 and retired for the past 6 years, I do find clay shooting more of a strain on my pocket and as my wife also shoots the cost is double. I no longer shoot any competition apart from ones held in my little local club but I have branched out into other areas of shooting which...

    Waterproof shooting jacket

Both my wife and myself have had Pavillion waterproof shooting jackets for about 10 years, bought from Highlodge, Sufffolk although I don;t think they sell them anymore but whilst we don't go out to shoot in the rain, there are many times when the rain has come down whilst already out and these...

    Trigger adjustment

Late to pick this up but it reminds me of a gun my wife had with knurled trigger and that was very uncomfortable to use so I swapped it for a smooth gold job that was swept to the right providing a superb feel to the gun. I think that was a Miroku 3800 but not 100% sure but the bottom line was...

    Sheffield, heads up:

Yes I used to shoot at Fox House when Mike Dixon ran it for a while then Ray Carnell took it over. Bloody cold windswept place in the winter. I still have a photo somewhere of me holding some trophy standing next to my pride and joy Alpha Romeo in 6" of snow.   In those days there were quite a...

Will do although I rarely get to my old home town nowadays but used to shoot for one of the pub teams on a Tuesday night which is when I visited the ground a few times in recent years, well about 4 years ago. I don't do facebook either but will try to look it up.  Aurther Turner, now there is a...

A bit slow to pick this up. I used to shoot at Sycamore a few years ago but I heard that Mike Dixon who owned the ground has sadly passed away and assumed it had closed down. Please tell me if that is wrong. Phil

    Suggestions for windproof jumper

Worth looking on Utting's web site as they do some very good deals on many different items. I use Musto micro fleece which works for me if it is very cold although I have to say that I don't really feel the cold very much and long may it continue. Still shooting in my shorts............on...

    Hand warmers

I had a zippo some years ago along with a Peacock but I am not impressed with them, I found them to be lovely and warm then just went out for no reason, time after time so I chucked them and got the gel type which are very good but I cannot find mine so I also need to see who is selling them. Phil
