Well worth watching a round of skeet, trap if your near a ground that does Skeet trap have a watch. Advantage is every week every skeet/trap target in the country is (should) be set to standard. Sporting some grounds change the stands every week.  10/50 at one ground may be more like 30/50 at...

Sporting is a hard gig to start.... all those different angles and trajectories to learn and read,. Skeet is ideal for learning as it will show flaws in technique that you can work on in a structured manner, DTL is good for discipline, shooting sporting is like trying to shoot every discipline...

For some it is tactical, upset the rhythm of other competitors......

65/67mm can be problematic for some autos rather than the weigt so check your favourite carts.

If you are using 36g then use 6's or even 5's!!! Isn't that what GD used for the 120 yard teal?

I found by the time you take off the cost of the ticket and overpriced food, drinks etc walking into a dealer with pound notes works, after all at a gamefair they have paid £££££ extra to be there! you will see more guns in one place though, if there is anything you are interested in the dealer...

Or park further away......... The number of times i see people (in 4x4's)  trying to park in the stands as they can't be arsed to walk 50 yards... One shoot its like a competition to see who can get closest tot he top of the bank..... I park at the bottom.....

I wouldn't recommend an auto, there will be a tidy gun out there for your budget, just needs a bit of patience and haggling the bargains go quick !
