    Does weight matter??

Years ago I had a few shots with a 9 1/2lb adjustable stock K80 belonging to someone we both know. I noticed several things about it such as how easily it moved to the lead and how little recoil there was, but one thing I didn't notice was the weight. He later switched to a K80 Parcours which he...

    Beretta Stock Height

Not in my experience TBH, but it depends on the individual and also what it's being compared with. The main reason I shoot a fixed stock CG is because (for me) they have a higher comb than fixed stock Berettas which are a little too low for me.

    Gloucestershire suspend all certificate applications

It seems they're still doing renewals but not new applications. I won't state my opinion on this.

    Caesar Guerini

Orston became a fairly big CG dealer when Danny was running it. They've sold up now I think but it's worth a call. Otherwise Ian Coley's near Cheltenham will almost certainly be able to fix you up.

    Shoot reports and news 2024

Good report Rich. Would've been there as it's more or less my local, but I've lost some enthusiasm for shooting this year. I'll be out again for sure, just need to be in the mood again. (y)

    FITASC vs Super Sporting

It's very popular in the US, probably Canada and possibly Oz. Basically the same countries that shoot esp.

Thin young lad needs a no kick gun!

Clearly the gun is not in the shoulder pocket properly as the bruising is spreading to his upper arm. It's not because he's thin, I'm thin too but I can shoot a 100+ 28gm shells through an 8lb 3oz sporter without any ill effects.

    Length Matters it seems….

Line of sight is relative to the rib/comb relationship. Barrel length has nothing to do with it.

    Beretta 694 choosing nice wood

I've never heard of anyone visiting GMK to choose woodwork but ask them, you never know. It's fairly common for people to visit AngloItalian and select wood when buying a CG. Ads on Guntrader usually have pics and I'm sure any Beretta dealer worthy of the name could email pics to you.

    orston sold under new management

Agree with Rich. I've worked for Danny as a ref when he ran Prescott and shot there a few times also. I never saw or heard of either Emily or Danny being anything other than good hosts.

    Reasons for missing

And that's exactly why he's been banned on other forums. Feeding trolls is never good idea so I suggest that ignoring him is the best policy.

    Reasons for missing

Oh God. Wonder if someone could talk Shotgunworld into reinstating this PIA. Perhaps we could have our forum back then!

    Cabinet inspection ?

Technically you don't have to have a cabinet at all. Your responsibility is to secure guns against unauthorised access which doesn't necessarily mean theft. However, it has become the practice of all licensing departments to require a cabinet and it's always a good idea to avoid rocking the boat...

    How to get better?

The learning curve applies to everyone starting out. We've all been where you are and most now realise that the best way to speed up the process is time with a good instructor. Trouble is most of us realised it too late - I know I did. :ROFLMAO: p.s. IMO Bebo and Bavarian are right about no...

Wanted Browning Medallist 12 bore Ejectors

A pal from 20 years ago tried the welding route. It wasn't successful so he had to go to a gunsmith. Even then the new ejector price was over £60 just for the part, but luckily the smith had a 2nd hand one from a Medallist he'd scrapped. It cost about £50 all in but my pal traded the gun soon after.
