It seems "steel shot" is the cheapest pig iron money can buy, johnny carter did a couple of YouTube videos with a guy who loaded steel shot into a fibre cartridges to see what damage was done to the barrels, seem to remember it wasn't that bad
I've not got a problem with shooting steel, at my level it wouldn't make much difference to my scores, the problem I have is the wads, I went over to fibre 20 years ago because of plastic pollution, I know they are bio degradable but from what I've seen they seem to take a long time to degrade...
If you're down wiltshire Way, barbury shooting school has the invictus 1 as it's school guns, so no problem loaning one as long as you let them know, fantastic guns so good i bought one 👍
Am I missing something here, shooters wearing ear defenders, guns going off at 150db, on a shooting ground with shooting all around them and they might have a hissy fit hearing a couple of cartridges tinkling in the bin?
Have a look at winter golf gloves or horse riding gloves, I use winter golf gloves but take off the right hand one to shoot a stand, when game shooting i have a thinner golf gloves on then put on thicker ones when not shooting 👍
Have to agree on cfg very disappointed with the new electronics, also very loud on the suppressed sound, I'm using mino cens now much better suppressed sound not quite as clear as cfg in normal mode but good enough 👍
I've always been with cpsa even though I shoot game, years ago I shot competitions so started with cpsa and stuck with them even though I don't shoot competitions now 👍
I decided to switch to fibre years ago due to plastic pollution. Now I've gone down to 24g and found my scores no different averaging about 80%, I only shoot sporting now though 👍
I have to say I shoot my guerini better than my a400 auto but not by much at my level, I don't shoot the auto in squaded registered shoots as clearing up the empties has me rushing to catch up with the squad 👍
I find when at a not a squad shoot the best way is to start at the furthest stand away and work back, you can often get 3/4 done without much queuing especially if you start from the off 👍
If its not too far, barbury is a good bet for cg. They use invictus 1s as school guns, so it shouldn't be a problem for a try out, good selection of guns in the shop 👍
Well done matt, I haven't shot much in the last few weeks as I'm recovering from a blood clot on the lung ( don't recommended that for a few days skive off work) so shot Sunday, first couple of stands a bit wobbly but cleaned the last 3 for an 88 and to top it all won both games of petanque...
