A decent gas operated semi auto is the way to go. I use a Beretta AL 391 for clay's and it's perfect for me shooting 24gm cartidges. It makes shooting a pleasure being a low recoil combination. A hard rubber pad is the way to go with a gas operated gun, not a soft one.

It's quite a good ground with an excellent place to eat and dine, what let's it down though is if it's sunny a lot of the targets go into the sun. I only go if it's cloudy or overcast.

The only shoot I know that has buggies is Westlands near Annan. They only have three though.

I find clay shooting is getting quite expensive now even at club level, 35p per clay and 27p for a cartridge, 62 pence every time I pull the trigger! My SGC expires in October 2026 and I'll be 77 years old then so I'll probably not renew. I started shooting in 1981 and have enjoyed shooting...

I think you're being quite sensible about it really :) Teagued is the way to go though, it just makes the gun more versatile and if you have to shoot steel :eek: then you will able too. 3/4 and full is hard work on some shoots to be honest.

I think it was about £1500, but if there's a problem they are in this country. Six years ago.

I can understand your feelings about a fixed choke gun but Teague can just open your chokes too. What happens to your warranty if you open the chokes up?

A lady friend who shoots an F3 had a custom stock made for her went here https://www.midlandsgunservices.com/custom-stocks . And it works very well for her as well as lowering the recoil compared to the Blaser stock.

Do you not fancy having it Teagued? Or are you a fixed choke shooter?

Years ago I bought a spring kit from them, they just posted it to me, have they stopped doing that?

I think that the owner of the gun should loose his SGC, as he did not lock his car. I wonder why not :unsure:

I must admit I was surprised to see it, but I cannot remember where I saw it.

I suppose if they know you it could be different, I used to like it when you could wait while they fettled your gun :D

According to the tinternet Alan Rhone has stopped people dropping their gun off and waiting for it. RFD deliveries only.

If you manage to find one fit a hard pad on the Gracoil. If you fit a kick-ezze pad or similar you will have a lot of recoil to the "bounce" of the pad.

My Browning has backboard barrels and I use the same cartridges in plaswad and fibre and the kills are just the same whatever I shoot.
