Fleece Waist Coats for Ladies with Recoil Pad - Help!

Lynne just says she doesn’t know how to break it down... 🤔 oh, and “I don’t know where you keep all the stuff” !

    Choke key recommendations??

Agree..., I never get the key out when shooting, but still a pain checking them with a key at home!  I also think there is a tendency to over tighten them (flush) with a key in the first place. It’s a man-thing I reckon ... ‘oh, this has a spanner type tool, must need to be ‘tight’! I dread to...

Sporting Shoots 2021. Reports and discussion.

Martin Gorse Wood... near Whitfield. Nice local club and ground. Skeet and 50 bird most Sats, and a 100 bird Sunday’s. Good fun. ... no tower!

Sporting Shoots 2021. Reports and discussion.

Not a registered, but just back from my usual local Sunday morning sporting at Martin Gorse. My wife has recently got into the sport and today was her 3rd ‘proper’ round with our squad. Steady improvements as she learns and she is coming back happy every time. Today was tougher than usual...

Fleece Waist Coats for Ladies with Recoil Pad - Help!

Just back from today’s 100 bird fun... shot with her new pad using 28grams, no problems ! @donna yes... she was one of only 2 female guns today at our SG. Shame, because it’s a great sport and clubs are very welcoming. She is already settled in our usual squad and feels one of the team. Now, if...

    Custom fit ear muffs??

...even those designed for shooting (thinner style shell)? I use the relatively inexpensive HL’s, and they don’t hit my stock. Wife uses the same, and no problem.

    Choke key recommendations??

To be fair, I much prefer the extended chokes (I have after market in my Beretta). Admittedly, I do recheck them at each stand (it has become part of my pre-shot routine as I walk into the stand), but only ever finger tight. Much easier to get in and out for cleaning etc., and no key to worry...

    First Gun

Mrs Flintstone has shown a recent interest in the sport (just doubled my £££ spent :(  ). Set her up with a 12g from the start, decent recoil pad and 21 gram carts. She loves it and easily handles the gun (went for a slightly lighter model). My opinion as most others... avoid the 20g flavours!

    Skeet shot size?

You do if you are me, and forget to change them for ESP after you had a couple of goes on Skeet. Doh!

Fleece Waist Coats for Ladies with Recoil Pad - Help!

If any of you are interested, Mrs Flintstone is very happy with the new pad. Worked well for her last weekend on her (2nd ever) 100 ESP. No bruise! Recommended !

Fleece Waist Coats for Ladies with Recoil Pad - Help!

This was also mentioned to us by her coach last weekend (light sanding of the butt pad to create a curve on the toe)! @donna I've not really looked into the Kickeeze before (I have no need for it personally) - sounds like you'd recommend for her as an option?

Fleece Waist Coats for Ladies with Recoil Pad - Help!

If you want something in the interim, Caldwell make a 'recoil shield' for women, which is basically a (what seems to be quality) pad that affixes to a bra strap via 2 velcro loops. Obviously it can be worn under absolutely anything. It's ambidextrous and I'd say the pad is about 10mm thick. How...

    Are gel pads worth getting?

Yes! I did exactly the same, well worth it. I ordered a set of gel pads from 'Zohan', the EP01 (they fit the HL) - £18 (March 21)

Welcome to the forum, and now you have the 'bug' I hope you continue... it's a great sport !  Where in Kent are you learning/shooting currently?

Issues with cheeckbone bruising - expert help needed.

I suffered from this when I started. My issue? My mount was incorrect... gun fit was fine but I had the comb too close to my eye (I was forcing my head down onto the stock). As suggested by some here already... comb should be closer to the gum than the eye. Worked on a more consistent (and...

whats the sp regarding queue jumping at straw balers ?

Bit late to the party on this, but at my local club the current ‘rule’ is you can start on any stand you wish, but should then move round clockwise. Sure, some do jump a little if there is quite a wait, but in the main it works well. Always interesting to watch a few others when you get a small...
