I wanted to see if any of you have any kind of data regarding a load I would like to try.
I have been shooting a load in the past using Winchester compression formed one-piece cases with a Winchester W209 primer and a Claybuster CB1100-12 wad with a one ounce of 7 ½ shot. I was loading this with 700X powder in the past. Due to the unavailability of 700X I have switched to High Gun powder. This is a much denser powder and the final assembled shell has a slight dishing. After talking with the tech that Claybuster they recommended switching to a CB0178-12 ward to get rid of the dishing problem I cannot find load data for this anywhere and was wondering if any of you have used this combination and have any data to support being able to use the CB 0178-12 wad. I received some sample wads from Claybuster and loaded a few and they look very good, my concern at this point is potential changes in pressure which Claybuster did not think was an issue.
