Been to Nottingham and District today for my 1st lesson (had an introduction last year but haven't done anything since)...

To say it was busy as I arrived being the England selection is an understatement! Pretty sure I was at the desk behind either Chris Lancaster, Katy Poulsom or Elizabeth Shanks, not a Scooby really, but a very happy bunny none-the-less.

Off I went for the safety brief avec coffee with Carl and hound, which kind of turned in to a "putting the world to rights" session and then on to the Skeet layout.

IIRC station 7 for some lows, station 1 for some highs, station 2, then 3 and 4 and back to 1. I eventually got the hang of leading the clay rather than trailing it, knew when I was too low and knew when I stopped rather than followed thru' on the trigger (I've never come across a sport, or anything else for that matter that openly has so many innuendos and puns!!!)

Great time, great coach.Ggot home 20 minutes late for dinner and not a word was said, double the result!

Needless to say, I'm hooked and booked in for lesson 2 on 07/07.

Ian

Thanks Ian, glad you enjoyed it :) After a few more lessons and a lot of practice maybe you will be celebrating getting into the England Skeet Team!

You forgot to mention the ridiculously good looking staff!!!! hahaha  xD

I think that might be a very long time away! An aspiration maybe...

And as for the staff, too many to name in one post!!!

Hi Jules,

I too, can confirm that the staff look ridiculous at N&DGC, except for my favourite refs, of course

Some of them are also extremely low to the ground. I assume that this is due to the extreme winds there and not some inbred genetic condition imported from Lincs. :gamer:

Mr T - how very dare you. Lincolnshire indeed. I will gladly tell you that I have the correct no of fingers and toes.

Small but perfectly formed :)

And I thought you were my special friend x

Ive just become a member and met a few of the staff what a cracking bunch, looking foward to getting some practice in as its only a stones throw from home, hoping to get on Wednesday after work.
Cheers
Lee
