Can anyone recommend somewhere in the west/midlands/south west to get an adjustable comb fitted (a good quality one)

how much do they typically cost?

Where would you recommend?

My first thought would be to find the best place to do it and send it there. It need not be local, as there is no fitting to do. It's adjustable!

Simon Wilmore at Doveridge does a very good job. Cost wise it's £160-180 (fom memory) including a Graco adjuster

As above. Problem solved. Tell him I sent you and he will charge an extra £20. Now that's service

Simon fitted my Gracoil reducer some years ago and also did an adjustable raised comb on my wife's mk6000. Great bloke to deal with.

The beauty of being at Doveridge is when he has done it you can go and try it out on the shooting ground and then if it needs any tweaks he will do it there and then.

Malcome Jenkins in Luton does a great job, look in the back of clay shooting for number as i don't have it to hand,

Took mine to NASG and they sent it away, don't know who to but what a cracking job, trouble is what to do with my new silver pigeon for rough shooting, all I see is the bead and no rib, shoots flat. Rather than getting an adjustable comb fitted to my rough shooting gun I am thinking of buying one of those leather combraisers to use on it from http://www.recoilsystems.com/

Anyone tried them ?

Just got one for Mrs Fuz's gun to replace the strips of cardboard and electrical tape :) Ordered by phone tuesday lunchtime and was delivered 9am Wednesday even though they had a power cut at the time of ordering so no card machine or computer they still got it out as promised.

Fitted it yesterday and was an absolute doddle, peel the centre backing off and stick on then the sides 1 at a time with light pressure to avoid stretching and squashing it down, looks spot on.

She has the 6mm raiser.

I would go down the cardboard strips and electrical tape route first to get an idea of which thickness you require ;)
