Another great registered shoot at Barrow Heath on Sunday 3rd November.

As usual a great variety of targets. Enough for everybody to have a fair go at, and some fast targets and tricky angles.

All there to be hit though, and I was reasonably pleased with smashing 72 of them. A couple shy of a C Class win and I deffo left half a dozen out there that should have been put away. Still need to concentrate more, but I feel I am still making progress and looks like I might have scraped into B Class from 1st December.

Our very own Mr Ed was there on the day, looking quite resplendent in his new shooting vest, and we also met up with "Danny82", and "AlFlan", and "Shooting for Girls", and "Liz" all off the forum.

Good entry too with 143 registered shooters. Once again thanks and a big whoop for Mr Moss. Excellent day as usual.

Hopefully we will be returning in two weeks for the next one  :nyam:

Really good round by Phil I thought. good balance, some big lead needed on a coupe birds, clever angles, the lot. Shot like a first class helmet but thoroughly enjoyed it!

Looking forward to the next one I can make :)

Sounds great, I wonder if John Dyson set the targets in that case ? !!! See you soon Phil. Ha Ha :haha:
Nope !!!! ......... he was there with his camera & notebook, taking notes.......    AGAIN !!!!    . :haha:   :haha:   :haha:

I really enjoyed shooting Barrow Heath. The only thing that confused me was that the first couple of refs called "pair killed" and the fourth didn't. I wouldn't mind, but I killed a pair and would have like to have heard about it :) There were only two birds I didn't manage to hit at all, which was wildly encouraging. And the company was superb.

If anyone is up that way and wants to buy stuff Forelock & Load are now open at Church Lane, Barrow. They do my cartridges cheaper than anyone else locally, hurrah!

Technically the fourth ref was correct; only losses should be called :)
Yes, you said that at the time. I have written it down in my book of your words of Coachly wisdom. The next ref didn't know that either so that was quite enjoyable.

ETA ooh, look! Scores up and I'm not last. I bet that feels nearly as good right now as winning does later.
