Eddie

They are fabulous guns and I doubt you would lose any real money if you chopped one in further down the line. Great buys to be had from what I can see.

I bought a DT10 last weekend, it looked, mounted & felt so nice I couldn't resist - only used it once but very happy ;)

now where did I hide all that money !!!!!

Eddie, have a look in Young Un's cartridge bag !

Thanks guys, Seriously if I sell off my original 682  cica 1992 (Solid gun) and auto yes, yes I said it    plus a few other bits, I could muster about 2.7 K towards one, now I know that's probably only going to get a 2nd hand one. That I don't mind, so long as its been looked after, as with cars you loose ££££ in the first yr or so not that bothered.

That's it I've talked myself into popping into WMSG and trying one, now where's Toms number :preved:

I'll keep ya all posted

I'm a big fan of CG, but have to agree with Bebo ref the engraved rose. Made me wonder if Anglo Italian could order one Sans "Prison Tatto"

They do upgraded versions ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you're talking Syren - no. There are two versions, one is based on the Fabarm Elos and the CG is based on the Tempio.

The Fabarm version does not have the "Prison Tattoo" (that did make me chuckle) but it's a Fabarm.......... 'nuff said?

I couldn't care less what my gun looked like to be honest . If it shoots where I look and is comfortable . I have been a beretta fan for 12 years but am going to move to Caesar guerini as they are priced sensibly and feel as good as the beretta with better warranties

Good luck with that, if you're guerini is in the same shape as a DT10 after years of shooting then you'll be very lucky! They have better warranties for a reason, cos they need it!

I have seen far too many brand new guerini's become lose, sloppy and falling apart after a year of reasonable shooting (and being looked after), there owners then decide to get a proper make beretta/perazzi; a close friend bought two identical in end the couldn't wait to get rid!

Just to add a bit of perspective. I know someone who had multiple failures with his Perrazzi triggers and double discharges, when the stock snapped he couldn't wait to get rid of his for a Krieghoff after he sourced and paid for a new stock.

I know someone who had issues with his Krieghoff could not wait to get rid of that before a year of ownership.

I know someone who has a 682 gold e that feels like a piece of old rope it's that loose and the barrel switch migrates to lock the trigger after a couple of shots.

My DT 10 bottom ejector stopped working after a year, then again after another year, the finish came off the receiver after 3 years as well as it needing a new top locking bar due to being loose. So a Guerini only has to last a year without problems to match my DT 10.

Look on this forum and others to see the multiple list of issues for the new Berettas.

My Browning ultra XS started to self adjust its adjustable stock mid shoot no matter what I did.

Finally I was speaking to someone last Sunday who just got rid of his new Browning 725 as the finish came off the metalwork and Browning did not want to know.

Every manufacturer has issues and I personally can't think of one where I don't know someone who hasn't had problems.

On any new gun I look for a decent warranty and importer that doesn't try to fob you off as I don't trust any make to be 100% so they all need it.

Based on the above, maybe I should just stick with what I've got.  A bit over two years old with a couple of hundred cartridges put through it in a typical week and it hasn't gone wrong.

Don’t let me put you off, my DT 10 is a keeper I love the gun to shoot which is the main thing. The ejector and top bolt were easy fixes, just pointing out that any gun might need new parts to keep it going regardless of make.

The only thing that irks me is the coating on the action coming off has left a bit of a bad aftertaste on a gun that wasn’t exactly bargain basement cheap when new. Especially when my dad’s old Browning  325 costing a fraction of the price looked like it has just come out of the factory and it had more use.

But that doesn’t affect how it shoots though.

Whereas my MK38 Gd1 is still tight, has never readjusted itself, had the trigger fail, failed to open, failed to eject, had the barrel switch move, had the finish come off.......

And it only cost a grand

I shoot 687 eell and about two years ago bought a dt10 32 inch sporter.had it six months and could not hit a thing so it went.i then bought a 30 inch sporter about six months later and it is fantastic.feels great and my hit rate has vastly improved.in my opinion they are a fantastic gun.i would as has been said buy a later model with ag serial number.my one has the balance of a ten year warranty.

Had a look at the Syren on Friday.  Must admit that when mounted it does feel like a very good fit.  Was almost tempted to go for it, but couldn't bring myself to do it.

Instead there is now a DT10 Trident with 28" barrels in the gun cabinet.  Tried it out at West Kent before buying it and it felt very smooth and I shot it well.  Second run out yesterday with it didn't go quite so well.  Not a problem though as the length of pull needs reducing which I'm hoping to get done next week.
