Looked at one of these at weekend i didn't even know there was such a thing, new apparently.

Anyway what a great gunfor anyone looking at a reasonably priced high rib trap gun and for 1.6k

beretta

high parallel rib

fixed Monte Carlo

narrow rib

what's not too like apart from its multi. The barrels were a little heavy as far as balance goes but not far off.

Sounds like it might be decent DTL starter gun then.

That's what i thought les. The wood was what one would expect from a sub 2k gun but beretta action prob 686 stable chrome barrels so last a life time. I would buy one for sure a lot of gun for the money and its a B :)

Is it anything like the old 682x? They were marvellous guns.

No higher rib than that more like a lighter version of 682e very narrow rib looked like 8mm ish. Action quite bland but what would you want for 1.6k

I think you should buy one Ips.

Firstly, it will satisfy your desire to buy something new.

Secondly, it would enable you to polish up that beautiful EELL and put it in a glass case on the wall and just stare it it every day.

That's what I would do (actually I probably wouldn't buy the Prevail, but I would put yours in a case and drool over it!!)

Did you spot the Gd5 Miroku 6000 high rib trap gun in the shop at the weekend. Nothing new in the world of shooting

Phil, yes its a very nice grade 5 job indeed. I had thoughts about it once, its been there for some time, but they want a heck of lot for it!! Only ever shot one of those and it was a very long time ago, shot quite nicely as I remember, but I wouldn't pay that much for one.

no i didn't spot that one. Buy it you know you want too :)

Don't know about you but i am exhausted today the weekend and the drive home took it out of me . Must be getting old.

Enjoyed the shoot it was Er interesting but how hard was that ?

Those few that shot over 175 did very very well indeed imo.

Sadly Ian my score was rather shy of 175, for me and an awful lot of others a weekend to forget.

On a plus note it allowed me to get a few rounds through the Miroku and decide the triggers need some fettling, so off to see Dr Teague today for some minor surgery.

I'm always shattered on a Monday following a shoot.

Yeah but the English reviera is abroad Ian........its in Devon!!!!

Trigger pulls were 1st - 6lb and 2nd - 4.5lb, with a lot of free play and drag. NT has reset them to 3lb and 3.5lb removed the drag and excessive free play. Worthwhile 48 quid spent.

Nice one Phil as you say a good 48 quid spent.

6lb is rather heavy but seems to be normal for new miroku i know a few shooters who have recently had same job done and there weight was similar and also had creep taken out. Sorted for sc now then ?

Sounds like a bargain Phil! So now you will be shooting like a demon at the weekend!

Well it's another box ticked so on the way towards getting it sorted how I want it. Hopefully I'll get to the A1 on Thursday to try the triggers out.

I'll be going to SC with confidence, if I can see 'em I can shoot 'em, and the forecast is looking good.
