Hi all 

Because I get sore ears when when shooting with even Gel cuffs and have small ear canals I cannot use electronic inserts so can anyone give any information for the Napier ear defenders which I have seen some shooters using recently.

No experience with the Napier ear defenders.

What ear defenders are you using now?
If you get sore ears with gel pads, they might apply too much pressure for you.
Some models allow you to relieve some of the pressure by bending them al little bit.

Siemens SecureEar were great electronic plugs for small ear canals, but unfortunately discontinued a few years ago.
Volume control was superb.
If Vario would make something like this, I would buy them immediately.

Maybe the ACS PRO Impulse Custom Earplugs might be an option for you.
Not electronic, but might be more comfortable (less reduction when not shooting) than fully passive.
