A small walked up species day for me tomorrow with a few great friends, the perfect way to finish off the season!

Just to wish everyone a great last day if you haven’t already finished for the year!

28 weeks to go!!

Have a great day, hope the weather is good to you.

Have a good day, doing the same here, small walked up day with two friends shooting over my trialing *******. Proper shooting.

walked up day over my cocker on Thursday, then see what developes over coming months. Should have some permission coming my way if things go to plan ?

Don't know when the season finishes down here Ian they change things to suit the numbers of game eg deer and boar numbers are a huge problem so there are very often season extensions for them. However anybody that thinks a thrush is fair game for a 12 bore does not get my vote... having said that Snipe? Anyway an extra day in Bonny Scotland is surely worth the visit?

I think I would have left the goose to fly by......

Retrospectively so would I, no pickers up on this day...  Goose casserole does taste great though!
I was always told the best way to cook goose was to put it in a slow cooker with root veg and then put a brick on the goose, cook it for 8-10 hours, take out the goose, throw it in the bin and eat the brick and veg!

Cooking goose well is apparently a fine art.
