Looking at getting a bag for carts.

I appreciate you can take as many as you want in the car/truck/mobility scooter to the ground but wondered what sort of quantity you luggg around the stands.

100 ? 200?

Oh and this is for BT, Pre-answer to his attempt at humour..

Depends on the shoot.  For me usually I carry 125 for 100 bird shoot talking ESP.  Fitasc per layout so I may carry 50 or sometimes bigger shoots 120, 160 or 200 birds then that amount plus extras.  You may get back to the car to pick up more or not as the case is most of the time.

Use a leather 100 capacity bag for 100 birds, and put a box in my pocket, i use the same shell lfor eveything,If i goto a 120 birder i put 6 boxes in a fishing bag from aldi.

Are you using this for clays or game as well? If clays I like the hard plastic cases, if to be used for clays and game I would buy a 150 leather cartridge bag and a slip to match

Do what I did. Buy a succession of slightly inappropriate small bags. Keep throwing these away until you realise what you needed all along was a range bag with enough room for 150 cartridges and enough pockets and compartments for about 10 accessory items plus drinks bottle. Actually, don't do what I did. Just buy the range bag.

Oooh a range bag sounds interesting Will :)

I forgot to say what bag I use - leather cartridge bag which holds 200 cartridges, my hat and water.  I use a pouch rather than a Skeet vest so put extra lenses, snack, cigs and lighter in there.

i bought a bag off e bay  holds 200 carts ear protection licence chokes drink tools small towel gloveshat  etc cost £18, only bought it as my game bag fell to bits it was almost as old a as me

I recommend the the Razorback bag...not to big as some range bags are but big enough to get everything in plus pretty much indestructable ;)

Had allsorts before but this is capable of getting 200 in if necessary and still same amouint of room left + pockets.

I find my range bag is full of all the associated paraphanalia (vest, ears, various glasses, hat, chokes, drink, screwdrivers, first aid kit) still use a plastic box for cartridges.

I have a sports holdall woth all my clothing in,vest, jumpers, waterproof, spare gloves etc,

The bigger the bag the more crap you will put in it and the heavier it will be to carry around. You really only need something to hold 5-6 boxes of shells, a drink, a snack, ear defenders/plugs, glasses with spare lenses, and your certificate. I use a musto 'range bag' which 'could be bigger' but holds enough for me. A plastic 'Beretta type box' is also a useful addition.

I have a Musto Cartridge bag that has served me well. Can squeeze a full slab 250 in there. Side pockets zipped for gloves, cens, choke case etc. Two end pockets for bottles. I carry about 120 cartridges inside plus 2 large oakley glass cases. Basically everything I need to go shooting other than my gun fits in that bag.

I have one of these.  Holds 200+ cartridges and I get all the other paraphernalia in including gloves, hat, choke key, chokes, SGC etc.

Got one of these for Chrimbo.  I usually carry 6 boxes of cartridges, waterproof, bottle of water, glasses, ears, other crap (tissues, sunblock etc etc) without problem.
