I have two 3/8 Teague extended ported for sale if they are any good to you? Sold my Beretta so no longer required.

Hi,

I have tried lots of chokes, ported, un-ported and OEM.

Have a look at the Muller chokes from www.justchoking.co.uk I tried these yesterday and was very impressed by the breaks and performance and the full set only consists of 4 chokes but can be bought individually. Look forward to a full review once I have patterned them and used them some more. Put it this way, i'll be using them for the English Open next weekend over the Briley I was using.

Cheers,

Jon.

I will await your test with interest.

If you are really interested in how chokes work this book http://www.antiqbook.com/search.php?action=search&l=en&searchform=antiqbook&o=zou&full=john+brindle&action=search&l=en&catalog=&author=&title=&description=&year=&century=&keyword=&sBn= is an excellent source of information to anyone who wants to learn more.

The book is quite rare now but well worth the money.

Thanks for all replys chaps, no particular reason for ported other than I like the look of them, also I have read and heard a lot about extended chokes creating better patterns better breaks etc etc!!!!!

Managed to find a copy of this - £8 including postage and packing, arrived this morning - just had a flick through, despite looking quite dated (1984) it has some really interesting information it - looking forward to reading properly. Thanks Mike for the recommendation.

The book might look dated, but the content is very relevent regarding everything to do with shotguns today. I'm glad that you actually bought it.

Shotgun Shooting Techniques and Technology by John Brindle ISBN 090455891-6

I sold Paul a copy for a fiver
