I am thinking of moving to devon I have not decided on any particular area but would like to know of any clubs I like the small clubs skeet sporting and a little trap,as these are the cheaper practice options I am happy to travel to a registered shoot so no problem there.can anyone suggest some good club grounds.

South Devon is in short supply!

Much more choice in North Devon but I have not got to these yet.

The Cpsa map will show you where they are.

I belong to Two Bridges where we shoot about 50 clays on a Sunday morning then have a couple of shandies - it's near Princetown on Dartmoor so the weather can put paid to a lot of winter Sundays.

There is Ashcombe which has skeet,ESP and a Sportack layout but the traps are never varied so it gets stale after a while.

Let's see what others say.

I shoot at Broadmoor Tuesday evenings, Ashcombe summer club Thursday evenings (just finished), Broadmoor is DTL UBT  and Sporttrap, 5.50 a round. Ashcombe is 11.00 for 50 on the club nights and it is different every week, shame you just missed this years, as it is summer evenings.

Then there are the small North Devon trap shoots, which are mostly weekends.

Then Sidvale every fortnight (Ottery St Mary), Okehampton once a month, and Ashley in Tiverton...

Not forgetting the "secret" ones which pop up if you know the right people . sigh.....

Try looking at Exeter area. Good links A30 West to Cornwall and good pasties, A303 East to civilization and M5 North to Flat Caps & Black Puddings (Sorry did I regionally sterotype here?)  :nyam:

Seriously it's got a lot going for it unless you want to get away from it all, and Devon is good for that too.
