Cpsa web site seems to be down. Anyone know why and how long for ?

Pete is a member here - he may be able to give us an update as to what is going on...

Thanks Matt, typing as you post :)

An upgrade and maintenance work, over running from the early hours of this morning, is currently in progress on cpsa.co.uk

The site should return shortly, although it may take a while (up to 24 hours) for some as the DNS servers catch up with us. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Mick. J, if I may ask. What would you like to see us change to make things easier to find on the site?

Pete

Personally i find the Cpsa site very good Partictlarily like the new averages and rankings section. Pity it Doesnt give your current ranking though.

When i first used the site, i found nearly everything a chore to find, and still do. Very small writing in the drop-downs do not help. Navigating to find scores, classes etc. It may be ok if used a few times but for someone new it is in my opinion awful. This site however is pretty straight forward, click on Forum or whatever- large page comes up with all the relevant headings- simples!!!!!!!

Thanks for your feedback, it’s much appreciated. We will take that all on board when we refresh the design and move to make the site ready for mobile devices next year.

As a preview only: something new we are planning is a site for those new to the sport @ http://www.goclayshooting.co.uk/

Good grief. Just how simple do you want it? I reckon I could get 10 people off the street to go on there and find something and 9 would have no bother. If the tenth failed I would just assume that they had some sort of neurological impairment.

I know thats a site in development but you a back ground picture of Peter Wilson and it shows him as shooting left handed, when he is right handed shooter! Now I can see why as this flipped pic fits with the page layout but.......

I just hope you are not saying that i have a 'neurological impairment?' and are questioning my ability?

It was my view of using the site, like anything the more people use things the simpler they become.

seems a bit harsh, Mick was merely giving his view as requested. He is obviously comparing to another site that he feels is easier. No need IMO for such a rude post.

Thanks Andy, spot on! Looks a little different now…

When you say current, do you mean the one you are classed with now? That is there. Or the one that your present running average would put you in? The latter cannot accurately be shown because it varies slightly each period.

I mean the latter and your quite correct i didnt think about that.
