On December the 16th it is the Christmas shoot 50DTL & 25ABT Turkey & Poultry shoot.

This normally a good day with good prizes in the form of festive food.

You are invited to come along and enjoy shooting in a very friendly atmosphere. Competitors are encouraged to bring along small gifts ( drink) chocolates etc., to add to the prize fund. The idea being that you enjoy a shoot and come away with a prize.

Entries open at 10am shooting first line at 10.30 last entries 1.00pm

If you want Sunday Lunch or a meal I can recommend The Fox at Shipley just at the end of the lane.

Didn't they have the traps stollen ?

Dave,

Yes they did, but new ones have been installed.

All they need now is entries and enthusiasm.

its a great little ground! but a bit of hard core in front of the gates & sweeping the sheep sh!t off the stands might make a big difference.

Bigroo,

I could not agree more, the latter will be attended to. Don't seem to have a problem with the gates recently.

December 16th is DTL ABT & Sporting, but due to lack of interest the Sporting on previous days has not been running. If there is enough interest anything is possible.

You can lead a clayshooter to a venue but you can't make them shoot.

If you want to try Trap I would suggest that you could do no better than visit Bridgnorth, many England & Welsh greats have and still do, plus they are only too happy to give newcomers guidance and advise for free.

Thank you Dave Winter, Adam Gutteridge, Brian Bailey, Brian Bradley, Joe Kitson, Roy Gudrat et.al. for making a good little club GREAT.

were is it never heard of it, are these reg comps

I agree!! you are totally right, a very good little ground that deserves a greater audience. But it just need a bit of TLC.....
