I shot one of these in 2003 in America, amazing engineering, the current models are excellent and can be fully customised although the price range has increased.

Never seen one in the metal, just things online about them. They do look rather nice, they seem quite popular in the USA, however if you were to get one I wonder what the spares/service situatiion would be like? Ed, it's sometimes better to stick with the tried and tested stuff.

Grahame Brown at Purbeck Shooting School, Wareham, Dorset imports these, they are a very nice looking gun and shoot well, not cheap though.

They do look like a berreta has rear ended a Kreighoff and gone through a cut and shut repair. Nice gun all the same and there will not be many about.

Seems like all the trap guns on their website have ribs like step ladders! So whilst a lot of DT and DTL shooters may like them for that reason, I reckon most of us that shoot other kinds of trap could be put off by such a high rib. They do look like lovely guns though!

Offtopic, but has to be mentioned : This has the thread title of the week! Well done Ed

You can return to discussion of guns now. Thank you.

If they shoot half as good as they look they'll be fantastic.

I'm looking for a Trap gun and I like "different" stuff (which ultimately lets me down; car, motorbike, phone, the list goes on!)  :fie:

...reaching for the Valium...

So wondered what the consensus was on these beasts?

Ed.  If you are ever down this way, go see Richard Moat at Oxney Skeet targets and have a look at his.  That or Charlie Lucas at Dartford.

They are a very, very solid gun.  Very nice to swing, heavy.  Very popular with Skeet shooters in the US&A.  Hardcore gun.

I used Richards with .410 tubes in to shoot a great pair on 4, really swings nice.

Ed......are you really after a gun with such a high rib? What sort of trap are you going to use it for? USA prices aint cheap, so they may cost even more over here!

The TrapTS is mid height (I think) and would like to use it for DTL, ABT, Helice and OT.

Im really open to suggestions. Adam Gutteridge spotted Kolar and suggested it as it ticks my "different" box.

Just need to know if it ticks the "is also expensive and crap" box too!

I love em Ed, going to get a SkeetMax when I win the lottery ..

Don't seem to be big in the UK but massive following stateside.

It looks the mutts nuts Ed it really does that would stand out at any shooting ground.... bit like a Vincent Black Shadow would stand out at a bike meet ! I love the look of a high rib gun and may consider one myself but not as high as that particular gun maybe half high would be for me I quite like the idea of a more level head position. Only thing that gives me any concern is back up for repairs but I suppose any really good gunsmith can fettle any gun regardless of make..... might cost a bit.... Ha ha ha ha ha ha !  what the Fcuk you can afford it! By the way when you said you had made dubious choices of bike might I enquire as the make that caused you torment ?

Thanks for the comments so far folk! Waiting on a call to see how much they are over here and what options are available...might have to shift a kidney!

They certainly aren't "crap"...they are expensive.
