Hi les, i remember the gti thing they were awful i had the gold stripe one you refer too for about a month in very early 90s hated it.

My dt10x was indeed a brute, very heavy and shot ridiculously high if you saw any rib at all.

I will admit that I did shoot a red GTI at DTL once, it was OK and it shot well enough, I just hated the look of it and quickly gave it back to its owner! I know looks are not supposed to be important in a competition gun, but to me it is still important for some reason!

I hate bloody Berettas and yet every time i ask my phone for 'new content' I either get the bloody DT11 or the DT10 :???:

Yawn

Les,

Call me vain but i think looks are important. Lets face it who Doesnt aspire to own a premium grade gun. I spent 26 years working my way up to my current gun and have assured Mrs ips that its my last .... And she believed me. .

:D :D You are not my husband are you under one of those assumed name posters?????? You sound awfully familiar ;)

Called into a well-known gun shop yesterday and they told me that business was good with lots of guns flying out the door - apart from DT11's. They admitted to only having sold one since they were introduced. Interesting though was that the value of S/H DT10's has increased by about £500 in the same period.

Yep i too have spoken to a well known dealer who has sold many 11s and had nearly all of em chopped back in allready. Agree 10s gone up in value which kind of tells us all something and confirms to a point my earlier statement that 10s are better. .

You'd think it would sell like Greggs hot pasties because when Vic Harker "tested" the DT11 for Pull he said it was very good. Almost zero recoil IIRC, and if Vic Harker says it's good then you can be sure that it is good.....

Wouldn't want to upset people who then stopped paying for adverts would they... Oooooops how could I!

I best put a bid in on Shaun's before he reads this. :.: :D

I've found an easier way around things! DON'T BLOODY TELL THE WIFE A THING ABOUT GUNS! It works for me, my wife never even asks questiions about guns, she has never had a clue about how many I've bought/sold over the years. If I told her that a D5G costs £10.50p she would never know if I was telling the truth any way, best to keep it all in the dark. If she ever found out how many tens of thousands I've spent on guns over the years she would kill me! :D

Les

Absolutely right my friend, I would not want to work out how many guns I have had or the 10s of thousands spent. We have a running joke in our house that all my guns cost £100 :D

My dealer who I have dealt with for 26yrs and have bought all but about 3 guns from once described me as "a serial gun buyer" :.:

Got a mate a bit like that, if he went on Mastermind his specialist subject would be the John Norris catalogue £5.99 to £399. he gets his things delivered to another mates house.

I find its always best to bring things into the house when the wife is out!
