Interesting shoot today - chillier than I expected, and some targets wind affected... loads of ShootClayers there...

Couple of tricky stands, the sim incomers across the grouse butt were a challenge, and driven off the tower caught me out yet again - took a 70 home, which I'm happy with.

Must have been a good entry I think. EJC website is rubbish, so many turned up prior to new 2pm start time and insisted on shooting it as advertised. This was why one stand was 5 pairs of one target, because they weren't ready..

Firm shoot, but I managed a few above my average after a shaky start. I straighted the tower with sim driven, by taking them as crossers. I think many heads rolled on there..

"so many turned up prior to new 2pm start time and insisted on shooting it as advertised. This was why one stand was 5 pairs of one target, because they weren't ready.."

So they pretty much threw their layout together on the morning of the shoot with no planning whatsoever???? It was always my understanding that the better grounds had their layouts done and dusted with only a few minor angle or speed tweaks to suit weather conditions on the day.....

Half the birds I shot there when we went with clever were the same as the last time I did a shoot there several years back!

I wouldn't chuck another £37.50 to them for the pleasure again!

Dont be stupid Fuzzy!!!

The only issue with EJ's is they alllow corporate to go on whilst your shooting the reg. This I understand they need to do but if you catch it badly it is a total nightmare and no enjoyment!

In the old days I used to shoot all their reg's but got very wary of the times I booked in or turned up for. I would say 1 in 4 shoots could turn to disaster due to others shooting!!! :-(

Glen.

Which is the stupid bit Glen? Wylye has mention his shoots are set by the friday or sat morning, Adam at Grange is always on FB on thurs or fri saying just putting finishing touches to the shoot, same with Northampton, Newbold and Steve Lovatt, just minor tweaks needed.

Going on Clevers statement of 5 pairs of the same bird on one stand because they werent ready surely says they threw the round together on the morning, no minor tweaks another trap required.....

In fairness, it's better than that. Yesterday was a very new course and being a Thursday, no corporate or members clash. Saturday's used to be bad, which is why they shifted it.

What actually happened was that one of the tower traps was not ready when the 'unexpected' early shooting started, so they couldn't put it on later, due to same for all. It was a decent course yesterday, albeit a few too many sim pairs for most tastes. Not easy either. Phil Easeman was leading on 90 when I left. Next up Fred townsend on 86, me 85. Mark Marshall still to shoot.

Cheers

I was being sarcastic! It is the classice case of do as little as possible and take as much cash as possible! :-(

C class win then Matt! Stands 1, 2 and 5 seem to cost you the most

Yeah - we did 1 & 2 last - and I'm miffed I didn't do better on stand 1, which was two floaty incomers that really should be put away. Stand 5 I cannot recall, I think it could have been the following pair of tower crossers... made a mess of that.

well shot Matt, another win

I think your right about stand 5, i think i hit 3 on that one :(

cant remember stand two though?

Nice shooting mate, wouldn't it be good if all grounds gave their results in this format :)

Seems like it is a standard report from the Shoot08 software....

Slightly unrelated; EJC start their Summer Wed and Thurs evenings today. The website is badly maintained, so call 01494 883227 for info. Should be good prices and fun- if you like your practice..
