If you're right handed, but left eye dominant, here's the gun for you!

This guy finds some really interesting old guns....

The concept works but not really practical, certainly for clay shooting recoil would cause too much disturbance on the eye/rib relationship. No manufacturer offers this as an option and you never see them on the circuit though I wouldn't mind owning one one day.

It's a fascinating piece, but you're right. I wouldn't fancy actually trying to shoot it!

and me and seen one which was an O/U used quite effectively shooting clays and game but did look really odd when he was shooting

I think it's an old American throwback. I can't remember when he said it was made, but it looks pretty old.

I've only ever seen one in action although they were doing one for a customer at the H and H factory last week funnily enough! Not much of a market though...

They used to be quite popular in the 60's, but I have only ever seen side by sides with CROSS OVER stocks. I think it is due to a lack of stock bolt on these guns that made it possible, I once loaded for a Guy with a pair of them, strangely enough, they were Hollands too. I have also seen an AyA No.4 which had been done by Richards of Liverpool. I found an easier solution to a master eye problem........................just lost the sight in my left eye !

did that chap say  " apart from the cracked stock  the rest of the gun is quite gorgeous  "     yeah right  ok .  !     its too rough for a hedge stake .

I think the chap in the video should be treated with the disdain that he so deserves .

Typical American sales manure from start to finish.

Let us get one thing straight .

No need to apologise at all for being left handed , God made approximately 80% of people right handed , but he did make about 20% correctly .

Remember he made quite a few F*** Ups, he made Women.

The CORRECT name for such a gun is a 'cross over stock' popularised after WW1 when we lost many many soldiers , and many returned home with the loss of an eye. We must remember that 1911 to 1946 was possibly the greatest years of the 'Driven Game ' scene and the 'Manorial' shoot was the highlight of village life , employing and entertaining many people in the local community. Have a look at 'The Shooting Party ' a lovely nostalgic  film.

Crossover stock like so many shooting inventions were very popular and did serve a purpose.

Felt recoil is a bit severe and the guns are a good talking point , if only to highlight the craft of the gunsmith.

Probably more effective and cheaper to learn to shoot off the opposite shoulder?
