Bob_P and myself made the trip together, albeit in a different car than planned due to Bob's car suffering a puncture early on. Met up with Ed who'd stayed down there the night before at a B&B - apparently with flat Guiness and fat birds!

My first time there and initial thoughts on appearence were that it does look a bit run down, but a friendly lot and a very decent egg and bacon sandwich. Booked on at £66

There were 7 in our squad. Three other guys whose names escape me plus Rachel from Leeds. All were good shots.

Weather was chilly and breezy and I'm glad I had a thermal top on plus two pairs of socks

I liked the targets overall, as usual I can't read rangey stuff but plenty of nearer targets and I like the variation. I'm still no where near good enough to put in a respectable score and it showed.

I'll let Bob and Ed comment further if required as right now I'm cooking dinner.

Bit of a nightmare start to the day, left house at 7:15 to get some cash out at Tescos. Front wheel punctured, and after jacking it up and getting the wheel nuts off, the wheel was rusted on to the hub, and couldn't get it off. So Toby very kindly came and picked me up from the Tescos car park, instead of us meeting part way.

It was a bit chilly in the wind at Podimore, but after a 22 on the first Parcours, thought I was going to be on for a good score. Wheels fell off big time, and struggled round after that. Like Toby, found some of the rangier targets a bit too difficult for me. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was certainly very testing, and some great targets, despite the scores. Thought that £66.00 was a bit steep, but maybe I just haven't travelled enough yet. Southdown seems very good value in comparison at £50.00.

Bit more work to do on my FITASC methinks
