Ooooo.......ST 150.....what a classic!!!! Very rare gun indeed! I would love to own one of those! The top lever still seems to be way over to the right too, so either it's not done that much or it's had some work done! Very small money for such a classic hand made trap gun!!!!

Outrageous price!

Hard to believe there is that much dif between the ST150 and the ST100's that like new sell for $2500-$3000 here.

And that adjustable barrel didn't have much of an impact (see what I did there?) on the shooting world at large did it?

Charlie, the Carrega ST150 is a hand made limited edition of only 150 guns. Made in Belgium, it's a B25, not sure when the last one was made, maybe the 1980's sometime. Fred (40up) will probably know when they were made and what time it left the factory too!!!!

And have a couple in his cabinet(s)/armoury/vaults ??
Well he seems to have all sorts in that shed of his, including various makes/types of old shells! So he could well have an ST150 lurking about somewhere!

I thot all the ST target guns were handmade

I'm always amazed, OK no I'm not, that people will pay stupid prices for "rare" guns, or whatever, that are rare for no reason but that no one wanted them when they were new.  No business in business to make $ will make just a few guns and then say that's it if there is a market for more.  Not one with a brain anyway.  JMO of course - who really knows how the Frog-tainted Belgie mind works?

Proper Browning Caregga supertrap shotguns like that one are as rare as rocking horse sh*te. The were only 150 of this model made in Belgium at Herstal  and they are a high quality hand made gungun not to be confused with a Japanese Browning. I have a Friend down here who bought a less than brilliant secondhand one and had it completely re done it is gorgeous! Shooters down here drool when he brings it along . He has another really nice Browning a John Moses Browning which he has also had redone it too is fantastic these are B25 guns not cheap knock outs. When you look down that rib it is like looking down a motorway... such a pity you are not meant to look at the gun when shooting   :)

Les I am guessing but I think possibly late 70's to mid 1980 ish ? I would be surprised if that gun is less than 35 years old. Cracking gun and I think it is original and un restored.

edit

Just got a ref for another Carrega  which is number 30 in the series which was made in 1981 according to the serial number.
