Second week in a row at Four Counties for me and a few ShootClayers for the Berkshire county SPT championship.
I was squadded at 13h - and quite a few of the squad arrived after trying to get round Upavon (looking forward to reviews of that one!), some intermittent rain through the day.
Layouts were testing but fair - Fuz, Mrs Fuz and me shot the Blue layout first, with some heavy rain and a stiff breeze, 13 for me - beaten by a high looper again and again. Green Layout was much better - I was straight through to my 4th sim-pair, we had a trap breakdown which was fixed really quickly but I couldn't keep my focus and dropped the first of the sim-pair, a final crosser dropped left me with 23ex25 for the layout which was quite pleasing.
Down the far end of the track for the Red layout - with a trick overhead duck and another high looper - think I scored 16 on that one. The final 25 was the black layout, with a couple of quick birds and a fearsome battue that was really hard to pick up in the light - I think 15 on that one.
For the County - Chris Childerhouse took the title with a 94ex100 - which was great shooting. Great to see so many ShootClay people representing for this one, a format that most of us seemed to enjoy.
