Anyone used the above before ? I used them yesterday and my gun was filthy, are all fibre like this when you put over 150 carts through your gun? I've only ever used fibre in my game gun so I've never got though a lot of cartridges in any one session, and I have been using 24g steel in my gun for clays and they have been a pleasure to shoot and are very clean.

if anyone wants 150 gamebore velocity+ 28g fibre cheap let me know.

ill give you a tenner for them,, my address is,,,, 52,,""__""_"_"_"_"_<<<  sussex  :D

seriously, yes ,most fibre are a bit dirty. velocity are good, and cost effective (cheapish!),, but  a tenner more expensive a 1000 than plaswad,, but most smaller shoots insist on fibre,, which is fair enough,,,,suggest you buy a cleaning kit, and hopps no9 ?

I think the overall view is that fibres are dirtier than plaswads, but some fibres are dirtier than others. I have used the older Velocity carts and they were a bit grubby.

I shot 75 velocity + fibres  at cocketts farm last Friday       not impressed to be honest  dirty, not good kills .    only bought 250  so soon be used ,  then back on eley superbs .   still trying to remove  the muck from my miroku barrels .!

All fibres are grubby as lead touches the barrels. Best thing is to shoot 100 plas wads next, before worrying about the clean up.

No problems what so ever with Velocity or Velocity+ fibre cartridges. I put 100 through at Bywell's Sport Trap at the weekend and shoot 180 a month otherwise.

I shoot the velocities, and now the pluses in fibre regularly. I personally find them to be a great cartridge! Cheap, and kill anything in a sporting layout providing you point your gun in the right place. No way near as filthy in the barrels as that eley crap either!

Get a slab that has been stored correctly, think you'll find they are perfectly adequate.

But hey, different strokes for different folks I suppose!

true enuff,, you cant please everyone,, so clean the tubes occasionally,,  but what is it with people that moan about ammo/dirty barrels, it`s a bloody gun,,, yes, look after it, oil it, dry it,,but get a life,,, not as if it makes a difference to accuracy,,is it ?

ah, Jonah,  please don't think that i refer to you personally,, it is Not intended or directed at you.  sorry if it appeared that way !  :frown:

it is a generalization referring  to so many comments and beliefs by a lot of gun owners. , ,it has been the subject of many many discussions and threads before,,

however, there are more things in life than clean barrels ,

hope you understand my view.
