Just looked at day 1 scores from this weekends selection shoot at sc. 59 shooters 3 lines during day 1 only 1 x 25 straight !

So if anyone thinks ot is anything but bloody hard there you go.

Wow its over still only one 25 after two days !

Some very interesting (read surprising) scores up there Ian !

Was Ed Ling shooting left handed??

DT

Well Greg i suppose even the very best can have an off day. Gives the rest of us hope i Spose. Not found out yet the story on conditions and targets but working on it. Spoke to someone last night who said the targets were not as hard as the shoot i did there earlier in the season but the final scores do not say that.

As we both know Ian.....There's no such thing as an easy target at 0t especially at SC!!! True story....

I just checked those scores Ian, there were some serious names there, but looks like only Aaron Heading really found the targets to his liking. Ed Ling had a bad day, he had a bad day there earlier this year too, I actually saw him post a 14 on one squad!!!! But to be fair, I reckon Ed is more a UT man than OT, he seems to do better at that.

Still waiting for a full report on targets and weather etc.

I wasn't here at the weekend, but by all acounts we did get some rain and it got a bit blustery at times too. A few sunny spells but apparently the weather was not that great overall. If I had been here I may have thought about shooting it, but with the heavyweights having trouble, I would have done better to throw the shells at the targets I would think!!!

The weather at SC at the weekend was windy but dry. Mostly overcast with the sun trying to come out at the end of both days. The targets were, for the most part, high with very few low/extreme angles. There wasn't really any excuses to miss targets, as Aaron showed, the majority of mine being missed due to being too complacent on them.

Thank you for the info. You shot remarkably well.

PM on way

You still put in a bloody good score mate!!!! Well done.

Thank you. Just need to keep plugging away at it over the winter and get ready for next year.
Yeah me too! I don't normally shoot much in the winter these days, but I had a long lay off (for about six years or so) so I will have shoot this winter to try to get my scores back to pre lay off level.

For anyone who doesn't know, Mr sendug is a class shooter and if he stays around could offer some invaluable input.

Just saying

Hi folks, just on the liverpool ferry at the moment, and I'm absolutely knackered from driving and shooting..... anyway I shot pretty poorly in all honestly, been like that for quite a while due to outside influences, conditions weren't that bad really , it was cold and a little bit windy and the sun was in and out a fair bit which as you know causes problems, layout 3 was my usual nemesis with that piece of bank in front of it which allways ruins my look and hold point (don't know why ), I don't think the targets were as fierce as the last GB shoot in May in my opinion, as for Edd Ling Abby Burton and Co you need to remember that they only got off the plane from Peru on the Friday morning and i would say that would have definitely buggered Edd up, I get jet lag from Liverpool nevermind South America

Thanks for that Harvey.

Have a good journey home

Layout 6 is the bogey for me, that banking on the right always seems to crowd me for some reason, even though its not actually that close!
