First time up to Grange and really enjoyed myself. Managed to dodge all the showers around and booked on about 11. A really nice looking ground with mostly hard standing paths and well mown grassy areas. stands 1- about7 were along a tree dotted hedge with the rest around a stunning fishing lake.

A good mix of targets and quite a tough test in the wind, HG was Steve Cox sitting on 89 when we left, and with the likes of Chris Broomfield and Julian Freeman in the high 70's/low 80's it showed what a stern test this was. Some birds, by Adams admission, were blowing 20-30 yrds further out than he wanted, usually he would have tweaked these on the morning of the shoot but with Starshot there he was busy with this. In my view this didnt detract from the shoot and if I hadnt shot like a 1 armed blind monkey for the first half I would have really relished the challenge.

I finished with 51 after managing to salvage something with only 4 away in my last 5 stands, which I was really disappointed with at the time. After seeing a lot of 50's and 69 followed by 67 then 64 in C I dont feel so bad about it now.

Put the sporter back in the car and got the 24" barrel auto out for a play on the Starshot. What a great laugh that is. You spend 100s of pounds on lessons telling you to stop snapping at it, stay smooth, read the line, then it all goes out of the window shooting at orange blurs :.: Have got some good video and pictures I will put up after I have watched/snoozed through the GP :D

Finished off with a top bit of pig in a roll, There was homemade cake that looked like it could rival Wylye but didnt have enough space to do it justice. Something to go back for, not that I need an excuse as its only an hour and half away ;)
