I have begun to shoot a little registered sporting over winter for something different to do and been enjoying it. Often going with my wife and taking the dog along (this is key). One of the things i am finding is some grounds allow some do not and TBH i am not really keen on shutting the dog in the car while we have a warm cuppa or having to sit outside in the car / cold.

I also find the pretty much complete lack of advertised prices frustrating along with wether the ground has card payment facilities. (quoted prices only correct at time of typing - if want 100% accurate figures please contact the ground in question).

Here is my far from comprehensive list so far - can anyone add any others to aid in my shoot selections?

I have seen dogs on all those grounds but in terms of inside the club house

westfield I've seen dogs inside

westonwood - more of an undercover area with small club house - only seen dogs outside

windrush tiny little club house - just a few people can sit inside but excellent for targets

owls, lodge I have seen dogs there but they also have their own.

northamptom £40 comp I pay cash so didn't notice if they have machine

i think all the other grounds have card machine

baically comp is somewhere between £38 and £40

Grange is cash only. dogs allowed around the ground not sure on the clubhouse but the guys who run it have a dog in there so can't see a issue.

All dogs allowed at all my shoots , Westfield , Windrush, Weston wood and garlands .

we take credit cards

entry fee comp between £38 and £40

Dogs are welcome at Eriswell, as long as they keep their owners on a lead and they are well behaved (the owners......)!

competition entry is £32 for the sporting disciplines in 2017, and £30 for the others (not inc fitasc).

we have a card machine and do cash back rather than putting card payments into the comp kitty - it gets confusing!

anything else you'd like to know, just ask!

You don't mention Cambridge Gun Club. It's a very good ground now. £30/£35 for a 100 registered, card payments, there is a resident dog in the clubhouse but don't know if that means other dogs are allowed or not.
