Shot gun site today, a great course some tricky bits, and something there for all ranks of the classes,
I started on fire for the first 4 stands then the cold and rain set in due to a very good turn out so some build ups
And waiting around on stands.
A big thank you to Shaun and team for yet again a great shoot and leaving you thirsty for more...
Despite the cold and rain I will be back....
It was nice to see some people from on here today I'm slowly learning your names, although remembering names has never been my strong point... If I may have not spoke to some of you it's because I can't remember who you all are...
I was happy with my 72 today as the last three stands for me became a real battle to swing or just concentrate
As I felt like an ice block.....

Drove from a sunny Berkshire into cold misty Wiltshire. With Gav B and mate Tony. Shocked when out of the car at the freezing wind. Missed about 9 targets in the first three stands and I'm suggesting that it might only have been 3 if I had not been seized up with cold. Wearing good clothing too!

By stand 4 or 5 the wind had dropped but still cold. Unfortunately the shoot was busy so lots of standing around (flapping arms and stomping). I had a better middle, but it was a good testing shoot, so only straighted about two stands. My card was looking fair, until the last two stands, which were tricky ones, had big queues and by now the rain was in. Dropped another 6 but still wrestled an 81, which for today was 'OK'.

It was a good shoot, shame about the weather! Saw lots of SC folk. Good luck to those going on to Westfield. I had had enough by the end of one shoot thanks!

With all the people there today just goes to show how popular this shoot is becoming.

Had a couple of iffy stands,a few one aways and dropped second pairs??? Finished with a 69 :nyam:

Totally agree like I've said before gun site is on the map now and a very good ground, Shaun and team are very good at making the stands all there but they really all need thinking about and great respect .....

I thought it was a bit tougher than last time (and people said that one was tougher than the previous..). I felt it was spot on, but shot a few lower simply due to temperature and drizzle. Some good long targets and some subtle angles. Just enough easy stands to keep everybody sane too. Looking forward to revisiting in the sunshine. :)

Well shot Lee  as has been said the cold wind and mist was a real shock after leaving home in  a clear frosty morning I had a shaky start pulled it back a little in the middle and shot the testing stuff quite well only to feel like you on the last three stands  and had a complete brain fart to drop to many and finish on 64

My first visit to Gunsite today. Promising weather on the journey down, but on arrival, like others have mentioned the weather was pretty grotty!

The targets were very good something for everyone. I  couldn't find the big looper on stand 5  (I think)although the two shooters in front of me mashed them with ease :(

Dropped a few silly ones that I was hitting but managed to hit a few more of the quartering away that have been bugging me lately.

Great to see and say Hi to all the Shootclay members. Really looking forward to shooting Gunsite in the better weather. :)

Great shoot today, had to rush to get there after shooting westfield but some great targets so worth the drive.

Worth the hetectic drive to pick a class win :)

Shot steady on an 89.....very good shoot by Sean and the team well done!! Big bonus that it's not far from Westfield...

Well shot Chris.

I thought this was one of the best layouts Shaun had put on. Agree with Will though, the last few stands stood waiting in the damp tightens you right up and you just want to get it over with.

The turnout for the conditions was superb and good to see a lot of the SC gang. Well shot jaykaysea with a good 71. It's coming together, keep the tight chokes in with the way your scoring.

Can't make Owls Thursday, but shoot well all of you, and again nice shooting Chris P.

Well it was bloody cold today on my first visit to gunsite, I teamed up with Jason McLean and our very own JKC. They both shot very well and swill be going up a class if they keep the good work up. Myself I scored pretty much as usual I was only 6 away with stands 1 & 2 to shoot and somehow seemed to butcher both of them!! Dropped another 6 and ended on 88/100. Will have to concentrate to the finish next time!! As others have said an enjoyable shoot, some great longer targets, a very good shoot will definitely go back!!

Gunsite first and Westfield second.  Near froze again at Gunsite so need some good gloves particularly.  Enjoyed both shoots and good to see so many of you and nice to meet you at last Teepee.
