Anyone got any views on which hand warmers are the best?

I’ve looked at one called S-Boston and they seem to get good reviews on Amazon but a bit expensive, the Zippo is cheaper but any thoughts as to which is the best?
Fingers are definitely feeling the cold this morning

Thanks

Jonz

No idea of the make:

It looks like a hot water bottle in a woolly cover. About the size of your palm. Clear gel with a metal clicker inside. Click the clicker 🙄 chemical reaction, super hot, stays hot from 10am yesterday, till long after I'd finished yesterday say 6pm when I got home.

5 mins in boiling water this morning and its ready to go again.

My daughter bought it me. Sorry I can't get a make.

I had a peacock. Put lighter fuel in like the Zippo. Rubbish. Charcoal ones. Rubbish. I now have some similar to the above.  These are good. Pain in the *** to keep boiling them but at least they work well. Avon sometimes have them. Prob got them now in their Xmas gift promo.

Jasper.

I’ve got a peacock hand warmer (giant size) absolutely brilliant. Fill it in the morning and it’s still going strong well after I’ve finished shooting.

Look like these, just found them I;m not connected with the seller

Aye, that looks like them. She said they came from a local cheap shop.

Kept my hands warm when not on the gun all day.

Got to be worth a look in the pound shop in passing.

👍

I got an S-Boston at the end of last season ready for this year, looking forward to trying it out!

Just been talking about this and been given a link

So taking that you can switch it on and off and recharge it's a good idea, but for that money I'm afraid it's going to have to load for me, clean my boots and walk my dogs.😁
Used one very similar last season, not too bad but only get a couple hours heat when set on 'high' when out in the cold!

I had a zippo some years ago along with a Peacock but I am not impressed with them, I found them to be lovely and warm then just went out for no reason, time after time so I chucked them and got the gel type which are very good but I cannot find mine so I also need to see who is selling them.

I'm not surprised, crossing a Teddy Bear with a bird of that size  ???      😲

Sorry, got confused, it was ZIPPY that was a Teddy Bear  !

Been using the disposable ones in the orange plastic packet amazon,ebay,etc....can't remember the name.

Brilliant for heat and never actually got to the point were they cooled down.

Buy a few and it works out about 50p a pair

Don't have to remember to charge,fuel,boil...

I have a zippo, there is a nack to lighting it but once lit i find it good. I keep it in me pocket, it seems that a toasty warm nether region equates to a warm glow all over 🤪

I opted for the cheapest method.  I cut holes in my trouser pockets  !

Be WARNED though, I did end up with a detached retina so 'going blind' is NOT just a rumour  !    😎
that's gonna be an image difficult to unsee

Its been my experience that manual heating is more effective with the assistance of another party tho that may be inconvenient at a shooting grounds

USB hand warmers are the future! Love them, do for six hours. Other than that the disposables work all day.

A word of WARNING   !     Half of the Cumbrian Fire Brigade were on stand by on Saturday, all due to ips attempting to light his bloomin 'ZIPPO'. You certainly find out who yer friends are when you have trouble with yer 'ZIPPO'    😂
