Hello all I know that hatsan sometimes get a lot of bad comments but the new Mrs wants to shoot once a month just for fun and really wants a hatsan muddy girl 20g firstly due to short stock secondly the weight and lastly because she likes it so has anybody used 1 - shot 1 or owns 1 not after reasons to buy or not just an honest opinion please thanks Andy

Already tried that will ? through a health problem she can't physically use a 12g it's not as if she wants to shoot 1000s of rounds and it's not a recoil issue its the physical weight that's the problem

My son had a 20 bore junior semi auto when he first started. Great gun, fully adjustable stock, cycled 21 gram loads no problem and sold it within a few days once he had finished with it. Hatsun are good guns for the price and will be just what you want I suspect.Better to start with something she can manage and move up to a twelve only if she wants to.

Thanks cockney at 5ft 2" with short arms and limited strength I thought it would be an ok gun she only wants to join in and have a go and at the price they are it doesn't matter if she only uses it once a month or so ? u say it cycles 21g loads that's even better

Had a Hatsan youth 20g which an ex used and it cycled 21g however a mate bought one a month ago and it appears that they have altered the design and it no longer cycles 21s? Not sure about the Muddy Girl model though.

Pigeon Watch has several threads on these. 24g work apparently but the last advert I saw there for one doesn't claim 21g.

Just use 24g then once the gun wears in a bit try the 21g but I'm guessing by then she'll be used to the 24s. Hell just buy the gun IMHO for the price you won't find much better that will suit her needs.
