I have a very rust spot half way down the barrel on my miroku. Its a very patch that you can feel more than see, i have been told you can get it out with very fine brass wool and some oil ?

Has anyone successfully removed a small rust mark/spot from there barrels ?

thanks for the help

Scotch Brite it off with a bit of oil, I find they are abrasive enough without running the risk of marking the blueing.

Try rubbing the effected area with an old copper type coin and a drop of oil, Gently.

I've used the regular washing up green ones before, but yes they can scratch if you rub too hard.

thanks for all the help, scotchbrite seemed to do the job. just hope it doesn't come back.

scotchbrite's are good i find them much easier to work with than wire wool
