Horne - Gatton Bottom

Hi all,

Planning to go to Gatton Bottom tomorrow.   Has anyone been before?  What is access like?

My car is a bit on the low side, which makes any rutted tracks impossible.  I have an MX5 as a second car which is a good bit higher, but less convenient.

Blimey, the mx5 is low enough, what have you got as your first a sled

It is just a BMW 140, but with lowered suspension.  Love that car.

Get there early and you will be able to park on the road outside. Don't even think about trying to go inside. It's basically wood chips over mud. Last time we went we couldn't get up to the higher part of the car park in an AWD kuga. The ruts were so deep it was grounding.

Maybe persuaded the better half to come, and that means a CX5.  Touch more suitable...

So I took the CX 5, and still ended up parked on the road.  What a mud fest!

Most enjoyable day, and I got more than half of them, so things going the right direction
