Paid a visit to Hornet today. The ground was looking nicely maintained with the mad summer growth cut back and mowed in all the shooting areas.

We started out on the hill and lower section to get the open sun stands out of the way early. The one at the top of the hill was steady enough, I just missed the last l-r by 'making sure'..

Then it got a bit choppy! All good stuff, but the remaining stands in the sun were all a decent test. I don't remember shooting such a constant collection of long targets, but they were all sensible to see. My sense of perspective with my new glasses is still tricking me a bit, so I missed more than I would have liked, but they weren't easy.

It was nice to shoot the shadier and easier half of the course to finish, especially as I had missed MORE than enough by then. Pretty shabby 76, but it was all worth shooting. A decent effort from Hornet today.
