Missed you all last weekend but had an amazing time up in London and the NFL game was the best I have ever seen....

Missed shooting though so making up for it this weekend, did a Partridge Day at Farley Estate yesterday which was ace (not sure if this forum interested in that sort of thing but let me know if you want more detail....), 60 bird invitation only shoot at lunchtime today where you have to be invited by an existing member...the flirting has finally paid off.........and the a 100 bird tomorrow at one if the Island grounds where John Bidwell is coming down to set the course so it's going to be grrrreat....if anyone fancies a trip over let me know and I can give you more detail...

My targets are over 40 today and over 70 tomorrow...Will keep you posted

Good to be back....xx

Ps interested in if anyone goes to the Semi Auto at Southdown....so wanted to go but felt we needed to support the local ground trying to put something on a bit different....

Just got back in from a lovely salt of the earth members only club....got 40/60 could do much better, bit strange at a completely new ground, and a lot of chat going on so I could have concentrated more...

Only allowed to go back if they like you so may well be my only visit...Will find out tomorrow if I passed or not...

Well it's no result but had a good afternoon practicing at Stratford upon Avon clay shooting ground with Carl Bloxham.

Great weather and ground looking lovely too. Blasted off (if you can say that) a load of 21 gram shells I had lurking about! I was surprised how well they hit at distance, when I got it in the right place! . I hardly felt that I had even shot them such a small recoil!

I did my monthly local 60 birder. Bit of fun with mates from the village. A chance to try some shells and have a chat. Although you can learn something even at a small shoot sometimes!

Probably Caterham reg tomorrow.

Went to Caterham. I thought it was a very good shoot. Only one stand of following pairs (driven) and some nice long loopy stuff high in the air on stands 10 and 11.

Screwed up the very long rabbit and the sim teal stands, but was fairly tidy otherwise. Walked on to my last stand (car park) 10 away. I watched some people struggle on it and talked myself into thinking it was all harder than it was. Dropped another 5 there to finish on 85. 1 clay short of A class win for the second time in four days..

Lovely weather again, no bad queues. A good day all round! (Survived a potential huge shunt on M25 on way back too.. Idiot ahead changed lane without looking, three cars contacted, lots of braking. Phew..)

Went to kibworth yesterday to try and hit some clays with my new gun. Still a beginner, so missed more of the 125 carts I shot than I would like to admit, but learning how my gun handles is a joy in itself!

Met up with Tony from here who was having some coaching at the ground. Nice to meet you by the way, hope you are closer to solving your trigger problem.

Went to Horne cpc Court Farm shoot for the first time, good targets, nothing to silly and a good use of the land to catch you out. Was hoping for a better score as this was my third CPSA registered shoot for classification, shame I shoot like a stoat and let myself down...

Caterham today for my third visit, hoping to perform better than my midweek effort and avoid this becoming a bogey ground. shot a PB for the ground which wasnt hard based on my previous scores so came away happy.

Good to shoot with Clever and Co again.

56 a Kegworth ouch
75 at Northampton for third in C class
Happy days

Sent from my mobile that's my excuse for typos and errors.

Spent the night near Gatwick (husband's work commitments) so shot at Gatwick Clay shooting school. Never been before. They did 50 birds for £17, 5 stands. Fibre wad only, 8s or 9s and they check your cartridges. Very small area so could see other clays flying about. All traps on remote buttons.

Stand 1 the lowest driven I've ever seen and totally failed to form any kind of relationship with it. Husband gave up after 00,00,00. Next a pair of fast quartering. Made it look hard. 3rd pair fast rabbit with short window of opportunity and long crosser. Husband made it look easy. I was still shooting like a women with a hangover......Next awkward overhead appearing out of the unseasonal sun and tricky black going away against a dark background. Hit a few of them. Last was a distant sim pair that completely defeated both of us.

Funny how you can love targets at some grounds and hate targets at another.

Could have gone on to Caterham or Court farm but I was a grumpy bitch, in a filthy mood, so husband sensibly drove home and made me clean the house instead

despite the raging toothache did not want to miss out this weekend so went to Kegworth today and managed 48. I think had I been able to concentrate better between the waves of pain (gun on same side as broken tooth) I might actually have managed a few more. Never mind root canal hopefully sort things out tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that you needed a firm smack to the bottom today. You would have enjoyed Caterham I suspect!

Hi Sian

Pretty good score considering your pain! I can join you in this, shoulder is not good - only hit 56!!! Absolutely nothing wrong with the targets, just couldn't get going and timing awful - think too many painkillers.

Feel better soon and hope root canal improves things.

you must be suffering, I really suffered on the way home as the painkillers have seemed to stop working. I hope you feel better soon.

Had a good morning at Fauxdegla, although the sun was savage on 2 stands looking directly at it to kill bird.  Finished on a 78, 2nd in "C" class.  Again frustrated as missed 4 gimmies.

Cracking weather for October, spot on.

went up to kegworth first thing shot a 72 which i thought was wright for me,then went on to northampton another good shoot and shot a very good 87 well pleased with that score second in a class.

As a dentist, you have all my sympathy. Good luck with the root canal. A combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol is the best painkiller for toothache

Had a trip to Longridge this morning, great weather was delivered too!

Started off really well (too well) first five stands only dropped 7 out of 48 then disaster struck with a load of fours and fives. They were a few driven targets and closer slower ones. Finished well on stand eleven a straight, big battue and low fast crosser on report. Brought in a 73 at the end so not so bad!

Was second in my class when I left but who knows what scores came in after!
