does anyone use these legging things that look like chaps and strap to your belt. I need some new waterproofs for beating / walked up and thought of these. Comfy or not comfy any other suggestions.

ps

I want short ish ones to wear outside of wellies

yes i prefer them to trouser type leggins. much easier for walking in and you dont get so hot either. just remember if you sit down on wet bales or similar nothing to stop your backside getting wet.also make sure you are wearing a belt too or you will need to find some bailer twine!

I used a pair of Barbour short stud on wax leggings for over 25 years,  just reproofing them for the approaching season. As said though,  prepare to have a wet ass in sprouts, kale or when sitting down. I have a pair of Musto Gore-tex identical leggings (same as the Barbour) which I carried in the vehicle or in my bag,  for the less bramble days. I used Musto waterproof breeks when shooting.

Bought some from Ardmoor,Hoggs make them, bought them beginning of last season £19.99. Still wearing them this season and I like them. Great when you have to battle through brambles too.

um, I am concerned about my derriere. Is there a short leg over wellies job but with full coverage of your man bits.

Google treggings.  Short legs for over welly wear, they have your backside covered but open fronted for the those of us who get the urgent Prostate need to go NOW feeling -_-

Mine are not waxed and sorry can't remember the name but they're waterproof and about £20.

aha, cheers Phil there EXACTLY what I need. Dry derriere , over me wellies and can still take a wiz when required. ?

Phillip Morris treggings, treat with nick wax and they are pretty waterproof, total cost 35. sizes are big though so may need modifying..

just ordered treggings by riverside off Amazonian ?

just the job.

I thought these were rather nice, dont cover much butt, but hey ho.... needs must.....

not my colour,,,other than that....perfect

I've bought some Barbour wax shorty stud-ons today ready for a couple of shoots I have coming up as they're easy to deploy as/when required & they're highly recommended. I already have Deerhunter Jacket & Trousers that I wear for beating that are brilliant.

Just treat them every year, with WAX  ( NOT take them out for a meal  ! )  and they will last forever ! (almost)
