Busy here today, think in excess of 100 booked in by 11 most unheard of don't know final entry but car park still filling up when I left. The big early entry meant to a few q's and when st10 had a break done (or 2 :-( ) it meant closing St9 also ensuing long long waits which as the weather was quite pleasant was tolerable, I even got to chat to a few new faces and some kind fellow let me lose with his spanking new DT11, however if there was the rain / storm that soaked me later in Cirencester there might well have bee a mutiny as clay shooters can turn! Only joking.

Shot this from st1 - 9, then St11 and finally the naughty st10, started with a straight on St1 and finished off straighting both St11 then St10. However I did not get to grips with st4, where I had a strange incident when for some reason fired (prematurely) a soon as mounted and then repeated this as shot at nothing at all for the report, complete brain fart, dropped 6 here poorest stand I had, I then promptly dropped first 4 on St5 but cleaned up rest, another stand to get me was st9 where I missed all 5 driven, so for me great in parts, steady on most (bar st4 & st9), did think I should have put more on card but don't we all,  I know I could / should do better on driven and I finished with a 69, which going forward is a lot lot better than my recent efforts.

Shot Longridge for the first time as I was on that side of the country for the Easter weekend. As Rich said, very busy and I ended up taking over an hour to shoot my last 3 stands (10,9 and 8) which I could blame for my poor score but won't (I had a shakey start too) I only connected with the teal on 9 once, was sloppy on the driven and was just inconsistent on 10 - hit miss, miss hit, hit miss.
I've been struggling with right to left crossers but found plenty of them to try to get to grips with - maybe 8 of them on today?
Funnily enough 4 was my best stand - straight for me and also straight on 6. Otherwise I found about half of the right to lefts and ended up with a 69.
I know if I went back I would do better. Its a shame its over 2 hours away for me otherwise I would happily shoot there again.
The scores Rich posted make it look like it was an easy shoot but I think it was about right - I guess the regulars know how to handle the targets.
Nice to meet Mark W and Jim F today and lots of other people were very friendly and chatted to me - I guess the queues encourage a bit of sociability

Good honest report Rich. Never seen so many trap breakdowns at Longridge? The RAC must have had less on the M5!

The big turnout did not help, but we all knew the bank holiday shoot was gonna be a big one.

Lovely weather at last with a lot of stuff you could over lead. (well I did)

The time to get round today was a killer for me, just over 3 1/2 hours. :fie: :fie: :fie:

Credit to the little lad on stand 10 with all the breakdowns, slow releases and frustrated shooters. Hope they paid him double, he deserved it, sat in that sun with a load of shooters stood waiting for over 25/30 minutes in some cases.

Enjoyed Longridge today and was glad the rain stayed away. I was pleased with my 62/100, Amber was pleased with her 73/100 and Tony had 3 misfires with two different guns and is really missing his Kemen - let's hope it comes back this week. He got 76/100.

The busiest I have seen yet at Longridge.  Uncharacteristic trap issue on 10 caused a few delays with some shooters getting a little animated over it (which was quite entertaining to watch in itself and helped to pass the time painlessly) When it came to my turn to shoot this stand I was going to ask to see a pair, but thought that would be taking the pi.s

With the attention span of a goldfish, I let a few too many 1's and 2's slip by today when they should have gone on the card, finishing 3rd in B class on 87.

All in all a good day for me, nice speaking to you again Rich, and nice to meet and have a chat with Gnasher.

93 in B. CLASS
What a fantastic score!! The same as Martin Myers and a personal best for that man! WELL DONE!! It should inspire us all to go out and practice more so that we can shoot our own pb's. All the hard work is clearly paying off for this young fellow good on you and keep it up!!!!

Must practice alot at this ground very similar targets maybe im very sceptical but what do I no

New grading period is nearby. Plenty of improving shooters will soon be placed in the class that best suits them..
