Trying to find out if a Mk38 and a 7000 are the same or very similar action, specifically at the back end as I want to use a pfs stock fitted with a Browning/Miroku grip

Just discovered they have long trigger guard tang so no good without fettling

MK60 or MK70 should fit, the 7000 and 6000 fit the 3800 Miroku's.
Yes your correct the early 6, 7000 & 3800 have long trigger guard tangs and won't fit and MK38  without modification.  The later ones (around 88, 89 and later) had the short tang and should fit the MK38.

Also the early MK38 and later 3800 forend are the same (not sure about barrel profile)  but post 98, 99ish the forend attachment is  different on the MK38.

Thanks for the information, the gun I was interested in was the 7000 TR-1 which is I believe the only high rib gun that Miroku have produced.

6000 was also made optional high rib ,previous model also with high rib was citori trap

I would think that the 6000 would have the same long tang as the 7000, but the Citori trap is one I didn't think of.

Many thanks
