thinking about buying some Muller chokes does anyone have any reviews about them do they change anything? Or will they still perform like the standard chokes that come with the gun.

I only used them for a little while in my DT11. I did not pattern test them against other chokes but the pattern looked about right.
They look good, rather pricey, some stories of fragility, but mostly happy users. As I say, a good way of taking weight from the muzzle IF that is of benefit to you.

What gun do you use? And what specific chokes do you need ? I have a pair of Mullers 3 and 4 which are pristine and for sale. The are for a Browning XTR or one that takes Inv+ chokes.
To answer the question though as said the are very much lighter than a standard extended choke and that does affect the handling of the gun they are slightly more open than a 3/4 and full and look a lot better IMO. I have never had any problems with my ones after shooting about 3-4k of shells but some have had problems for whatever reasons.

I shoot a berretta 692 and I have been using modified in the top barrel and im proved cylinder in the bottom for sporting clays is this correct or should I be using a different size? would I notice much difference if I swapped to Muller ones instead of the standard ones?

what size is a U1 and U2? can I ask what made you sell your 692? a lot of people seem to be selling them

I've got U2 in both barrels of my Blaser, find I can kill anything from 10-70+ yards with them.
I think there has been issues with particular Beretta Muller chokes splitting where they had to make them so thin.

I have herd that they split but I thought they would of sorted it out? I'm just really trying to work out if they will be any better then what I've got and also will you notice a difference?

I shoot Mullers in my Caesar Guerini Summit Ascent.
I have total confidence in the chokes with Hull loads.
Aftermarket chokes are horses for courses. They suit some people gun cartridge packages and not others.
There are some bitter moaners on here re Mullers but I've no complaints and never had an issue after near 20000 shots fired.

Nick is a great bloke as well, very keen to offer advice and changed a choke for a friend of mine who had some issues.
I've used them, without any trouble. The U1 and U2 will hit pretty well all sporting clays that you come across.

As Mr Hewland said they are lighter than normal chokes so could affect the balance of the gun but I can change the balance of my Blaser so I don't notice.
I have to be brutally honest and say that people do change their chokes for all sorts of reasons. If you think changing the chokes will help you break more targets then there has to be a reason for you thinking that? I changed because the lighter choke made my barrels a bit more mobile and the ones I chose were said to give a slightly more open pattern. My experience with them was yes they did make the gun barrels more a little faster to the target, I never patterned them so I cannot with honesty say they are a more open pattern but would say they probably are. The main question has to be though did I break more targets due to the pattern they threw... I don't think so to be honest the main difference is the weight . I am really saying that if you take two chokes that are of equivalent nominal choke I don't think you will break more targets because of the pattern, If you are one the target you will smash clays with the original chokes just as well. In summary don't go changing chokes in the hope that they are in some way magic and you will improve your score... on the other hand the placebo effect is a powerful driver
Do you know anybody who has a Beretta and uses them you could try theirs out in your gun to see how they feel.Stolly. The U1 is between skeet and a quarter choke. The U2 are between quarter and half i.e. 3/8ths
I found they kept very clean, were easy to remove but most importantly livened the gun up by reducing weight at the end of the barrel.
I had no problem with the 692 but always fancied a Perazzi . You can buy my Mullers at half the cost of the current new price if you want to try them at low cost.
