I've got the external DS chokes in my black edition. I think they are Briley?

Yep, they are not mega tight. Probably closer to a 3/8 rather than 1/2. But it makes such a minimal difference that I don't think about it.
I've got the internal DS chokes on the standard 725 (and a teensy feeling of buyer's regret at not coughing up that extra cash for the black version!), and I suspect you're right; anything more than the slight difference you suggest is very probably in my head, rather than in the barrels!

I've just gone from a 525 investor plus to a 725 investor DS. I checked the chokes with a digital caliper and they are exactly the same.

18.7mm bore in the barrel

Choke entry 19.15mm

Cyl 19.15mm

1/4 18.7mm

1/2 18.50mm

3/4 18.35mm

Full 17.80mm

These are different to Midas or briley aftermarket that are tighter than browning flush chokes.

Yup, so totally in my head, then!

Good knowledge, cheers.

Pair of Muller U2s with Hull Pro One 8s, through my Miroku MK70 seems to work for me...

Having a multichoke gun makes them very adaptable , Sporting, Skeet or Trap  and you have the choice of choke.

Now ! Those of you who have them, how often do you change your chokes?

Sporting shooters especially , are you a twiddler or do you fit two of your choice and leave them in there to rust????
most stuff round a sporting course I have 1/4 1/4. If there is a low driven or very close bird, then it gets cylinder screwed in. If there is an edge on past 40yds or very long clay, it gets 1/2 choke. If I shoot skeet, two skeet chokes. If I shoot trap, 1/2 3/4. If I shot trap with 24g loads, 3/4 full. If I shoot game, 1/2 1/2. Simple?

It may well be pretty much pointless from a ballistic perspective, but I find thinking about choke choice helps my concentration in preparation for the shot. So as I approach the stand, I hope to see the flight line/distances etc and swap chokes if needed before going into the cage. In general, I shoot 1/4 and skeet and use Cyl and 3/8 according to the distance or if the clay is edge on. A longer edge on crosser may mean going to 1/2.

Take 'em out and wipe them off after every use otherwise the do rust rapidly! Apart from that the same 1/2 and 5/8 ths all time.

besides, the mob I shoot with take the piss something chronic if you change chokes! ;)
