Which shotgun have you owned, got rid of and would never ever shoot again? Why would you never shoot one again, what's the reason?

For me it would be a Slima Supreme trap gun. I had it for about two/three months or so and it spent more time in the gunsmiths than it did on the trap layout! It had all sorts of problems, jammed top leaver, broken firing pins, mis timed ejectors, second barrel would not fire. I would never buy a Slima again!

I suppose I would have to say my K80!

To be very clear (and to avoid the retaliation from K80 stalwarts), this is not because they are bad, but having put 53,000 shells through my Perazzi, it was so different that I couldn't even hit dolly ups with it. (I could hit long stuff). This was a K80 that I used to own and borrowed back for a while.

Hatsan Escort, most expensive hide pole i'd ever brought! wouldn't cycle sent back to have bits changed and came back with the same problem. Only thing is I was using 28 and 30grm carts so couldn't explain it. My mate had one as well and never had a problem with it. build quality or what?

Hatstand Escort, thought it would do for knocking about with, sold it within 6 weeks, pish!!!

Brand new Franchi 12g 5 shot auto i used in the seventies, utter c**p, constantly jamming even after 1 shot. This was using game carts then, so no excuse. Went back several times for 'work' but never was any good. Exchanged for a Remi 1100 20g, never a problem, and rarely missed with it. Second worst was a Lanber sporter, Could not hit a barn door with it, was not worth altering so got shot of it.

Browning Fusion was the worst gun I've ever had , broke firing pins, jammed time and time again with 32g and 30g cartridges .

Brought it new for pigeon shooting and let me down too many times when out in the hide .

Mick did you never try throwing it at the barn door mate? It might have worked that way! :.:

The gun I'd never buy again is a Miroku 6000 G3 sporter  , looked fine handled a treat and was very well made but at around 7 lbs weight it just could not handle clay shooting without causing me severe headaches usually within the first 3 stands. I was told this was due to Mirook barrels ringing  but couldn't say if this was true.

The worst air gun I wish I'd never bought was a custom Whaley Crossman 761 XL Super over thirty years ago, around £1k in todays money but made of marmalade and utter day light robbery. Learnt my marketing lessons quite early I did.

I have to agree with you on this one, I had a Silma for a few months , shot it twice, never again, total pish!!

Mick.

I used to notice that ringing too when I first shot Miroku's, but I don't hear it anymore. BUT ......I no longer hear as well as I did back then. I've been in rock bands for too long I guess!! :.: :.:

For me it would be a blaser...German engineering my arse......everything about it was shoddy. It was sent back numerous times to cure rust between the action and the barrels and the top rib and the barrels. Got rid of it and bought a perazzi, best thing I ever did :D

I had to send a Perazzi back for a similar thing, but it was sorted without any trouble at all, but I did not expect such things to happen on a gun of that price!

Well let me make one thing clear i am a beretta man through and through but ... DT10x trap. way to heavy and didnt have a clue were i missed which was often with this particular gun. Put me right off any type of high or stepped rib.

I knew a few guys who tried out the 682X, they had similar probs to what you had, however I shot my 682x's very well at DTL but nothing else though. Maybe the DT10X has the same characteristics.

Well we have commented before on this one les. Strangely i too shot my 682x very well but only at dtl whereas couldnt shoot anything with the dt10x horribly heavy and tapered down rib so you had to set it really flat

I recently bought a 682 E X Trap, it's the first high rib gun I have owned. I shoot it for everything and I find it OK.

Years ago I had a Silma too, not that brilliant to be honest. The worst one I ever shot was an early Lanber, bottom barrel shot to point of aim, top barrel shot a couple of foot to the left.

I got on well with a step rib for DTL, but I couldn't get on with one for bugger all else though Mike! :)

First gun was a Beretta semi which I stupidly sold for a Lanber that made me give up clays as could not hit owt with it, ended up using a folding .410 single barrel and sticking with rough shooting, not until I got my second Beretta semi did the magic come back.
